I knew War was going to suck but I didn't know it was going to suck that bad. Now I understand why people walk out of theaters.

Poor editting, characters I don't give a crap about, un-exciting action sequences, and just a yawnfest.

Anyone who thinks Devon Aoki looks cute needs to get their head-checked, she looks like one of them aliens from Close Encounter of the Third Kind.

I thought The One was Jet Li's worst movie but this has definitely be the one. I hope Phillip G Atwell never works again. Word of advice to music video turned movie directors: don't use a kung-fu genre movie as your first helming vehicle until you understand how to effectively film a fight scene.

Only reason why I watched the movie is cuz I'm an extra in it for like 0.02 seconds. Saw myself in 3 shots but they're sooooo quick. Oh well, gotta buy the DVD and press pause.

oh my God. finally! A smart film with a gripping pace that makes your jaw drop. This movie is NOT for people who love Mindless action films, it's for people who Think through their movies. I swear, since the Transformers I have not seen an action film that grips you by your eyes and drags you through its story at the speed War does. Jason Statham and Jet Li have AMAZING chemistry on screen (they were also together in THE ONE). the action scenes are so intense that even the people in the theater were dumbfounded... no popcorn munching, no drink slurping, no one was moving! Everyone is not as they seem in this film. Intense, intelligent, and amazing acting. i can't say much more than it involves the Yakuza wars in Japan and San Francisco. You need to watch this film first chance you get. Take my word for it! my rating: A-

jason stratham hasn't been good in a movie yet did you really think this was different? Jet li's movies have been ass for a while. I didnt see unleashed but, that one seemed to be the only one tha tmight have been ok.

Yet another movie I could tell was crap from the trailers, glad I did not see it.

Danny the Dog (the original name for Unleashed) is Li's second best picture next to Hero.

I like Jason Statham. He's enjoyable in Crank, Snatch, Cellular and the first Transporter movie.

And Jet Li's best Hollwood movie is Kiss of the Dragon followed by Unleashed.

Teaming them up could've had good potential and would've been alot better if the movie was a Luc Besson production.

Agreed, I'm with those two and Hero, but I don't consider those Hollywood productions in the same vein as Romeo Must Die, Cradle 2The Grave, and The One. They seem to be French and HK prodcutions, respectively. Fearless wasn't that bad, it was somewhat better than some of the other ones mentioned above.

My all time favorite (pre-Lethal Weapon Jet Li movie): Fist of Legend

I don't have any hate for Statham, he was also pretty good in The Italian Job.

But as far as War goes? Fool me once (The One) shame on you, fool me twice (War) shame on me. So I'm not gonna catch this one untill it's on video or cable.

All those three mentioned are Hollywood movies. Kiss of the Dragon is the one which is more a French production, or what do you mean?
Anyway, don't care for that "War" at all. Don't like Jet Li anyway. Liked Kiss of the Dragon, had a great atmosphere, but would have been much better without Jet and those pathetic fighting scenes (for me).

I do agree that all of his American films are crap. That's one thing that was good about Bruce Lee, his movies weren't complete shit.
