The Kingdom comes out on September 28th and it looks like a really promising action flick.

Produced by Michael Mann and directed by Peter Berg, I think its the only movie of this year with some serious action. And not to mention R-rated action.

I'm really looking forward to this one.

Haha, man.. Just watched the latest trailer from today or something...
And it's so sad it's not even funny anymore...
So Michael Mann destroys every movie he's involved in nowadays (but then again he just produces, so he doesnt really matter).
He was my #1 favourite director before Collateral. Heat best crime epos ever. Last of the Mohicans, one of my favourite movies of all times. Insider etc. great stuff...
Since Colleteral and his "digital style" bullshit... well, you know the deal.
So now this movie looks that cheap and ugly too. And not even cinemascope? wtf.
ah well. going to watch it sure, but not looking forward to it in any way anymore... sadly :(

Jeremy Piven rules though!

@Edit: Just saw it's actually is cinemascope but just the trailer I watched was 1,85. well, at least that's not that bad.. ;)

well he's only acting as the producer so his fingerprints aren't all over it but Michael Mann does rock :)

Peter Berg will probably stylize the violence a bit compared to Michael Mann's realistic style.

Thats funny, cause i've "discovered" Michael Mann with Collateral, which IMO is a awesome movie. I really loved Miami Vice, but I do think Collateral is better.

I've since watched Heat which is a great movie as well. And I really enjoyed Ali. Mann has brought out the best of Will Smith & Jami Foxx's dramatic acting skills.

I never really knew much about Mann before Collateral. but since then I've become a big fan. The use of "video" is a non issue. But I'm not going to get into that again.

Miami Vice is a very underrated film.

Saw this about two weeks ago. Brilliant film, and arguably my pick for "best of the year" (between it and Bourne.)

There are scenes in here that just stay with you. Also has a lot of meat as far as the story is concerned too. I'll be there again opening day.
