Well, it doesn't happen often, but it seems I am going to go into a rant.
This game didn't suck. It merely desecrated on everything game should be, like fun, and user friendly. The first thing I noticed is how the vehicles handle. the cars handle like RC cars on ice, and the slower you go the worst it is. When you are a helicopter there seems to be no way to control you elevation, and although I haven't played as Starscream, I figure by the overly simplified manual that he will handle like Blackout and will be able to hover. which pissed me off when I saw this in the Autobot campaign.
favorate character to play with: Scorponok....... he is the only one that brings me some kind of limited joy.
Also this game is short. (annoying time limits add to this) I got to the final part of the Autobot in like 6 hours (i would have done it in 3 if the game designers knew how to program the physics of a damn car) ( Spoiler: I didn't beat it cause I got really pissed when I had to fight Starscream and Blackout at the same time as Jazz, shortly after they locked me in a room with Megatron as he shot at my character, Bumblebee (and there ain't shit you can do to stop him)).
I'm still at the very beginning of the Decepticon campaign, and to my surprise I find it to be quit fun.... that is if you call mindlessly destroying shit and while doing something completely meaningless in a certain time frame, fun...
game play as a robot is simply awful. I played this game on the Wii and the camera movement would have been better if they gave the option to fine tune the remote as was done in Twilight Princess. Alas, the only settings you have control of is cursor sensitivity (which I still don't know what the hell it does) and very basic sound control... I guess Activision forgot that I need to CONTROL there piss-pore characters. Also, I found it very hard to see past the characters as their backs take up about a fifth of the screen.
Oh and the Physics of this game suck, too. you have a primary and secondary weapon but don't expect to use them much as 80% of your enemies (estimate based on the Autobot campaign) have shields, and the only way to get by this is to throw a car, tree, or a street sign (yes, the little ones work) at your foe....oh... and then you have to melee your foe, as your guns still do nothing...... WHY DON'T I JUST THROW A FUCKING ROCK!!!!!
But Activision did try to make up for you buying there crappy ass game by loading it with extras, such as movie trailers, G1 Characters (which I have no fucking clue about cause I have not, and probably will not, unlock them) and pictures from the game, movie, and past transformer story arcs... mostly Dreamwave.... its almost as if they are trying to say Transformers are worth a shit, and that is why you love this game.
so if you want a free roamer with missions to progress the story, go buy Ultimate Spiderman. if you want a Transformers game go buy Robotech. (sure, you can only be Jetfire, but all the Transformers in this game handle the same anyways.)
oh, and if you where involved in the making of this game (excluding the voice actors (which besides Cullen, Shia, and Megan, sucked)) go do something unmentionable with a rusty nail, or give my sister her money back for buying this game for my birthday.
oh, and Activison. Think about the children.

Ask yourself one question: "What would Jesus do?"*
I rented it. The game sat on my TV for a few days. Played it on a Saturday, returned it the same day. Terrible. You said it with the car controls.
I learned a very long time ago not to put too much stock into movie tie-in games. It also helps me that I hardly play video games these days, if at all.

I'm just waiting for the next SOCOM to come out, at which time I'll get a Playstation 3. Rainbow Six: Vegas honestly plays too much like a kid's game with incredible graphics.

I loved it - because it's TransFormers.
I believe there are more TransFormers games planned, including a true G1 tie in.
Not sure if it's Activision or not... but I agree this is a very limited game.

I finally got mine several days ago, it's the Target.com robovision exclusive for the xbox 360 and I've enjoyed it pretty much. Currently I'm on the Decepticon mode and I'm trying to defeat Ironhide, he's the toughest so far for me.
There will always be room for improvements in any game, let's face it, the only two decent Transformers games so far in the USA have been the Transformers armada and this one so I can't complain too much.
I'd give it at least a solid 7 maybe an 8 out of 10 being the best but I wish you could start out playing with the G1 skins rather than having to unlock them as it appears unless I missed something ?
