The movie adaptation has BARICADE being killed at the same time as BONECRUSHER. I think I heard that the scene was cut because everyone liked the character and wanted him in the sequel.

Then they should have cut out the "roll out" scene. If thats the case. Leave his fate a complete mystery.

If that is the case, can we get an answer from Nelson? Bay maybe?

In the comic too Prime throws Barricade against a wall or something and blows him to pieces. I must say I'm pretty god damn curious where he went. I would like to either see a deleted scene on the DVD of Barricade getting his ass handed to him by Prime, or an explanation and then be able to expect him in the sequel.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a time/budgetary thing, really. Considering one frame of this movie takes 38 hours to render, and a fight scene's a lot of frames, there's a good chance that they just didn't have time to fully show what happened so just cut him out when they could get away with it and hope not too many people noticed.

Look at the Spider-Man 2.1 disc, for example. There were a few effects shots that couldn't be finished in time for the movie, so they added them into the 2.1 version. I wouldn't be surprised if we get the same deal with this.

if he weren't in the line up scene or briefly where sam recognises him, then i'm happy to leave it that he went into hiding after getting smacked by bb, but hopefully more answers will be forthcoming.

It probably was not the writers choice to end it like that but the editors cutting of the movie or scene that made it like that, perhaps we won't know unless there is a deleted scene on the bonus dvd.

well i think he just went into hiding, i was expecting a masive fight scene on the highway (as it was hyped up so much) but it never happened? then it only lasted for 1 minute.

it could be bad writing i suppose, same goes for BRAWL or is it DEVASTATOR? did they forget to change the name in the final cut?
