Just a little heads up: Emipre and USAToday might have the first official TF2 photos on 12/29/08.

Here's the January 2009 issue of Empire.

No mention of TF2 on the cover. Or maybe this is not the issue it's supposed to be in?

Would these be straight-up set photos, or film stills with some ILM magic spliced in?

I don't have the details. I assume it will be combination of both like the Skorponok one with Tyrese running in front.

Well if the cover above is the Jan cover dont they release said cover the month before? Meaning if that cover above is correct then that will be the issue we get in Dec or am I wrong on that?

I've seen a cover like that I don't know if it was the FILM magazine though but it had the same picture of Wolverine on it.

There was some set pictures before wasn't their it was just people standing about though no Robots and barely if any vehicles.

I have that mag i subscribe to it and sometimes get a day before release all above board i can assure you and it is a movie mag and theres no pics or even a mention of ROTF in it. So if theres any news in the next one ill post it up.

I was expecting the pics to be up on their websites rather than in the mag/paper.....If it happens that is.

I had the chance to check that magazine with the Wolverine cover personally and it's not that cover that has anything Transformers 2 Related in it.
I guess it's the next issue then (with a different cover).
Perhaps it may even have a Transformers cover on it ?

With the Star Trek info people who subscribed got the magazines early and posted the pictures at least a week before the Magazine was on the shelves. and the same pictures were issued to some websites too.

So perhaps those Cave pictures were just the begining of a flood of set pictures for Transformers 2.

I hope they confirm the character names for the characters - that would be nice to see in black and white on the ones we are not sure about.

I wonder for example if the Constructicons will bare names like Hightower and so on.

Not that I expect them to be named at all in the movie itself.

i for one hope that the beginning of the release of photos from the movie coincides with them putting to rest the rediculousness of the speculation of whether the "fallen" are megatron and the decepticons (odds are its this) or the obscure characted "the fallen" from that obscure comic..that no one outside of the hardcore transformers geeks that read any and everything that has the word "transformers" on it, really knows or cares about. it surely has no place in a movie version...and yes it will also be revealed that bay and the filmakers are not so dumb as to put actual character names on the vehicles as they sit around on set, knowing that there are people following the filming around all day and night and place them facing the fence where they know u people are shooting pictures...theyre not that dumb..ok ? i for one will wait for all the real names to b revealed.... hope all of u have a happy and healthy new year

It would be cool to see what happens with it all. I just try not to get too worked up about it because I know there is nothing I can do to make it happen faster.
