Transformers made $60.6 million dollars in the United States for a total of around $100 million from the world on opening day! One of the biggest single days in movie history.

Then never seem to understand that I make movies for people to take a ride and escape.

Thanks, Mike. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the 0300 showing on opening night (house hunting is MURDER), so I ate the $30-ish in prebought IMAX tickets. I WILL make it tonight, though!

The anticipation for this movie was killing me. As soon as I walked out of the cinema after the 1st movie I was counting the days down to TF2. I was expecting more robots, more action and more amazing CGI and you delivered big time Mr Bay!!! Going to the IMAX tomorrow and can't wait to see the film again. No matter what the critics say your type of movies are the reason myself and so many others love going to the pictures. Thanks for doing such a brilliant job and fingers crossed you come back for a 3rd movie in 3 yrs time.

And again I only have to thank you Michael Bay for making my dreams for an perfect transformermovie come true. And that´s a fact.

You know, when you've seen a movie and stepped out of the theater, only to get that urge to wanna watch it again, the director has done a great job.
