This is what many fans forget. Usually what's happened in previous writers strikes is that you end up with poorly scripted movies (EX Star Trek 5) that bomb. Course, in this case ROTF was a success and I'm not saying it was poorly writen by no means. But one or two things could have been refined.

Shia's injury was also a factor. This could have killed the movie before it was even released ( I still think its a bit odd that this site shut down around the time rumors were going around Shia getting a finger removed). If I remember correctly he came back againts doctors orders to finish the film.

Is two Years enough to make a film? Usually it is. What I'd like to know is what changed Mr Bay's mind? Did he just say "Screw it. I'll rest when I'm Dead" or was he given an ultimatum?

Maybe when he and Ehren got the story idea for TF3, he decided it couldn't wait.

I was willing to wait for three years, but when I heard he decided for the 2011 date, I jumped for joy. Now whenever I see that countdown in front of the site, I'm like "Faster! Faster!"

I hope that its the reason...that he and Kruger thaugt "yeaa the fans will definately love this.."

I just hope that Paramount isnt just thinking about the mooolah (which they probably just are) and forced Bay to do another one.. cuz i remember that after the success of Spidey2, Sony forced Rami to make it with Venom but not the way Rami actually wanted, and then we all saw how that turned out.....

im scared...
