Nelson, I don't suppose there is anyway for you to "drop" hints on the special features edition? I know there will be commentary interviews, deleted scenes, but will there be any extended scenes/alternative version? Or is it just the movie with the usual special edition features I listed? I can't double dip on blu-rays, but I don't want to wait for December if it will still be the same movie.

If not, I understand. Thanks again for the updates.

No one did. But I haven't seen any info about it from the earlier posts in this thread. Please tell me there will be a 3D version released on September 30th

I don't ever count release dates as confirmed until they go on sale at Amazon.

Only thing I've heard is an October release and a December release.

With a release date that soon, they should announce it within the week or so.

P.S. They removed the date off the mobile site!

I've heard that there will be 3 days of total darkness this month of september because some planet.. again lol, this could very well be total BS but if this is true then hats off to Michael and Paramount for releasing it on those dark days

*The moon goes dark on the 30th for 3 days!*
    *Transformers 3!*
*Dark Of The Moon, Now on DVD & Blu-ray!* ;D

Stupid.. And I was pissed at Cameron and Fox for milking the Avatar Blu-Ray release with no less than 3 separate versions. Now it looks like I can direct my anger at Paramount for the same sh!t.

Best Buy will have start selling on October 4th in the US. Not September 30th.

That makes more sense since October 4 is a Tuesday.

Now that's a DVD+Blu-ray+Digital Copy cover. Still, even if it's Sept 30 or October 4th, I'm actually getting a Blu-Ray player especially for DOTM. Still, it's too much wating time!!

And we never got that poster in HD. Yes, I'm looking at you Nelson

"HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Spectacular action, stunning visual effects, non-stop thrills and fan-favorite characters including OPTIMUS PRIME, BUMBLEBEE and Sam Witwicky rocketed Transformers: Dark of the Moon into the stratosphere, with the latest installment of the wildly popular TRANSFORMERS franchise surpassing its predecessors to earn over $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office. From Paramount Pictures in association with Hasbro, the breathtaking film redefines the scale, scope and emotional impact of what a blockbuster can be with the ongoing epic story of the mighty AUTOBOTS in a thrill-packed adventure that the whole family can enjoy. Distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment, the film will debut in a Blu-ray/DVD Combo with a digital copy and on standard DVD on Friday, September 30, 2011, followed by a deluxe Blu-ray and DVD release, including a Blu-ray 3D, in the coming months.

"For fans who can't wait, the Blu-ray release in September will deliver an awesome ride with the movie in stunning 1080p high definition and a 7.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack that was personally overseen by our phenomenal supervising sound mixer just for the Blu-ray," said director Michael Bay. "As you know, we put a lot of effort into the 3D experience for the theatrical release and I want to make sure we get it right for home viewing--and that process takes time. So stay tuned for an even more incredible release that will include the film on Blu-ray 3D and loads of bonus features."
