DOTM needs about 20 million to pass HP7. Each of the 246 theaters needs to produce about $81,000, or 290 ticket sales daily, over 2 weeks to achieve that goal :-x

yeah, the no's have slowed down alot! they really should have added new content and done a global re-release if they wanted bigger no's. i dont think alot of ppl will go see the same movie again in Imax if they already saw it before, only Transformer fans will go. doubt it will take no.4

what you have to realize is that the east coast of the US was devastated by a hurricane this weekend. Not a good weekend at all. There are millions without power. There were three theaters in my area that were playing it, but I'm sure they don't any business until next weekend.

BOM has updated the weekend gross. DOTM made around $7 million worldwide for the weekend. Which is not a bad result at all. This week I expect the movie to make $ 10 million including next weekend. Which means that DOTM will be only $ 3 million away from LOTR. So there is still chance.

Probably because there is no advertisement. And the hurricane also probably slowed business down a bit.

The int'l number at BOM is incorrrect...it only made about $3m over the weekend ($3.6m when combined with US numbers).

The previous total was about $751.3m.

It's almost dead in its tracks now. Nothing short of a huge WW 3D re-release will push it to #4.

From what I understand, it's the other way around. The theater has to pay to show it.
