    Default DOTM Box Office Results

Sora, it was the right thing to do when you closed the other thread because of the many pointless conspiracy theories, but I think the subject of the world wide grossing is very interesting and deserves a separate thread. Especially when the movie is aiming at the number 5 spot at the all time world wide gross. If I'm wrong please lock this thread too.

PSofosNextGen, please stop the huge amount of off topic. You've made plenty other threads about HP where you can discuss the conspiracy theories of yours. Please don't do it here. I don't want this thread closed. This thread is only for the DOTM box office.

Now let's get back on topic.

DOTM Box Office Results Through Monday 08.08.2011!

    USA - $344,666,713
    Non USA - $701,310,850
    World-wide - $1,045,977,563

Currently at number 7 at the all time world wide box office.

Also if some of you are still doubting if there will be TF4 just look at the pattern:

    TF2007 - $709,709,780
    ROTF - $836,303,693
    DOTM - $1,085,677,563 (approximately)
So you can imagine how much TF4 will earn. And that's what the studio considers first.

OK that's the deal : Sora learns to cut off every single thread that thinks is dangerous ! So i am not responsible for Soras actions !

As for the worldwide numbers are good but not enough for the last Michael Bay's installment ! Leave everything that being told and said or set behind Albershide : DOTM might was 1st not second in normal life But in this life money matters and if you pay more you can re-create even Cybertron for real

If you want to believe BOM numbers like me in the past that's your choice but not mine And it is not off topic ! You post a very good thread but with fake box office numbers is pointless . . . .

Sorry, but this have to be said.

Listen to me: You continued to talk about something that was told you and the rest of us were not to be discussed anymore. And it is really really stupid of you to sit and badmouth an admin. YOU were responsible for the other thread being closed...you chose to don't care about her warnings. Don't sit and pretend to be innocent. And stop with your fake BO numbers..they are NOT fake.

Sorry again for the off topic post...but I just got a little irritated.

I highly doubt TF4 will break the $1 billion mark, DOTM was the pinnacle of 3D movie's and unless TF4 has some new ground breaking technology it wont get anywhere as close, especially if Bay doesn't return.

Unless of course a powerful director and/or producer steps up and takes control of the franchise (James Cameron, Peter Jackson, Ridley Scott or Christopher Nolan)

    Only time will tell...

Hasbro has enough money to pay for the best director out there and Steven is one of the best 3 on the planet !!! Even Cameron or Bay will be return again ! Money is the matter !!!

/sigh. I really hate putting people on my ignore list, but sometimes it's just got to be done. Thank-you Albershide and others for keeping the rest of us up to date on the numbers. I think it's fantastic how well DOTM has done, as well as 1 and 2. Maybe it will push up the list even higher. I will keep my fingers crossed. GO GO Transformers!!!!

Indeed, on both counts. The numbers don't make the movie better/worse for me, but It's nice to see something so great recognized by fans.

Now to find the ignore button.....

man, this dude is going to troll no matter what.. best to just close the thread. cause its hard for sora to keep policing and deleting stupid posts.. the dude posts 1 stupid post, like 4-5 ppl reply, and the mods have to keep deleting them. even tho this topic is interesting, ppl will just go on about conspiracy theories, false numbers etc.. it sucks that certain ppl ruin it for everyone.

...But not everyone is blind or stupid like many which believe that BOM numbers are real this year and many more support my thought ! If you were true Transformers and Michael Bay fans you might pissed off for the second place because TF3 deserves to be in the 1st and i am sad that you 're not so sad that the BON are fake ! If you don't like my posts just ignores them Besides we told in many forums for the fake setup ! Me and 3 others around the world . So Tf4 must blow up the universe not just the planet unless Hasbro wants to lose fans from everywhere around the world !

I guess I'll jump on the band wagon and put my ignore list to use too.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure DOTM will get to 5th place all time since it still has about 1 month before it goes off cinema...i think i'll watch it again

Okay, I hate being mean, but...
    1. Dude, what is with you and your obsession with the box office?! Seriously, I just read the other thread and you were spewing crap about Harry Potter, Spiderman, Avatar and who knows what else. This is a Transformers forum. We are here to talk about Transformers' achievement, not Harry Potter.
    2. Are you trying to say the rest of us are stupid because we don't believe your conspiracy theories? You don't have sources and concrete proof to support your statements, so quit trolling.
    3. Ah, "true fan" card. Firstly, box office numbers do not always reflect the quality of the movie. There are movies that I loved that were actual box office failures, and movies that I didn't like that made a lot of money. TF: DOTM may not be the number 1 movie in box office numbers, but I still love it. I DO NOT think of the movie as a failure just because HP passed it in box office numbers. As a Transformers fan, I appreciate the work that went into the movie and for me, the box office does not take away from the movie experience.

If another one comes out it might surprise you what it will make..... I wasn't expecting Dark of the moon to make any more than Revenge of the fallen due to some of the negativity surrounding Revenge. It just proves that Transformers is absolutely massive, and the fans of these movies WILL go and see them regardless of it being in 3d / 2d or any ground breaking stuff. As each movie comes out, the bigger and more 'brand awareness' the franchise gets.

Infact, after Dark of the moon being a total success, and 90% of audiences liking it, the next installment might do even better.... who knows!?

I agree with David123, they will keep making money until it just seems that they are rehashing things just for the sake of making money, but if each movie gets grander and more ground breaking then they will keep making money. I have no clue how to put people on my ignore list, but I am now. I hate trolls and people who don't know when to stop talking or just saying stupid things in general.

I've put that troll on my ignore list as well, he claimed the box office results were fake and the whole thing was rigged .... :lmao That guy needs some serious help.

I see what you mean there D123, my assumption was that the 3D pushed the latest movie over the $1B mark but you are right about brand awareness. I guess it also depends on what other movie's are released at the same time.

OK, I give up. I thought that some people will reason, but it's like talking to the wall. Sora if you want close this thread, obviously nothing changed.
By the way PsofosNextGen if you don't believe BOM then visit the other box office sites. BOM is just one of the many sites monitoring the box office results, nothing more.

    http://www.boxoffice.com/
    http://www.boxofficeguru.com/
    http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/boxoffice/

Also almost every big movie site is monitoring the box office by themselves. I won't say anything more off topic.

Claiming a scalp of a LOTR movie is always a huge milestone.

Yeah, but watch a relative of LOTR scalp DOTM next year. What, with the continued inflation going on, as well as expanding 3D and IMAX theaters on a global scale, not to mention the growing interest in the D Box, The Hobbit, I won't be surprised in the slightest, could pass Harry Potter 7.2, and may even give Titanic a run for the money.

Titanic, nah. HP maybe. But I say both Hobbit movies will get to the top ten list. The point is that the top ten are the most important and historic films ever, and DOTM is in there!

Yep, I know. Everything you said is right, I just pointed out a fact - a TF movie claimed a LOTR scalp (that's what the charts show, not inflation, not 3d ticket price and other crap).
