"Do you like the Elton John song Rocket Man?"

I watched The Rock again recently. I always crack up at the part near the end where Nic Cage asks Tony Todd's character "Do you like the Elton John song Rocket Man?" Todd says "I don't like soft ass shit!" and Cage replies "That's you. You're the Rocket Man", then fires the rocket into him and he ends up impaled on a pole. Sweet!

If I hadn't seen the movie when I was so young, I would have been so insulted at how forced that line is. But now I think it's hilarious. It's SO forced, it's hilarious. Bay's great at making those lines work. Just keep the pace going, and you can live with the duds. In time, those duds (if you can call them that) become so integral to the film. But as it turns out, that line was great!!! "'cuz it's you... <stern Nick Cage face> you're the rocket man!!"// "second rocket away!!!"...

Love that scene. Then he replies with..."How do ya like how that shit works?!"

Yeah the Rock was awesome when i was younger i still need to get the Blu-ray though was a great movie it was funny, great action, intense, and oehh lala that scene in the beginning ;D haha

I liked the scenes where they would steal those green balls and the guy got locked in and where swat team was going inside through the water and up (awesome) and the scene where the guy said "and what do yuo have?! a freakin water pistol?!" and all the rets of the movie! yeah was a great movie never a boring moment
