Default Reboot or no reboot? Do NOT! vote before seeing the movie! SPOILERS!!

So let's stick to the facts.
Megatron - DEAD. Shockwave - DEAD. Starscream - DEAD. Soundwave - DEAD.
Ironhide - DEAD. Sentinel - DEAD.

Michael Bay said in an interview, that what dies in DOTM, stays dead. They will not magically be brought back to life. Let's say that will stay that way in the future.
What is a Transformers movie if there are no Decepticons?
For most people, Megatron, Shockwave, Starscream and Soundwave are the Decepticons. Period. Then there are others of course, but how many seconds of screen time have they had in the trilogy all together?
If this one makes more money than ROTF (cause that's what Paramount will be looking at) and gets to the Top 10 list at the All-Time World Wide Box Office list, then Paramount will wanna continue with the franchise.
Bay has said no more. Shia has said no more. Let's say they don't change their mind.
With the ending DOTM has, Paramount has a choice to make if DOTM is successful around the world.
Try to make a fourth one with the remaining characters or reboot the whole thing.

What do you people wanna do?
    1. No reboot. Period. Let's leave it at this.
    2. No reboot. Let's continue the story with the remaining characters and a new director.
    3. Reboot with a new director and let's start all over again from the beginning.

    I say keep it going.
There are plenty of other TF villains they can use in the 4th movie.
Personally, I'd like to see more time spent on Cybertron.
    Autobots!
    Transform and...make a BILLION DOLLARS!

No reboot unless cinema technology takes a massive leap and we get to see the rebooted movies in a different format like 3D holographic technology or maybe even Augmented Reality?

Otherwise a continuation of the franchise would be alright... maybe try different director/producers like Ridley Scott, James Cameron or Christopher Nolan?

what it comes down to is how much money this movie makes paramount & hasbro. if it does really well, we will definitely see another transformers movie. there is no way to go forward from this.. "it's over, im sorry but it's over" *epps voice*
they will reboot it, with new cast & director. i personally would love to see a transformers vs gi.joe (like the comic book) movie. that would be cool. or a whole new story line etc..
i doubt they would do a prequel on cybertron without humans, that wouldnt do very well. altho id love to see it. so reboot with new cast & director, a fresh start.. im sure we wont see a TF movie in the next 2 years tho. will take time.

That true, but It's way too early for a reboot, it would be an insult to Bay, Spielberg and everyone at ILM and Digital Domain.

A prequel could work well and also a multi-franchise movie like the Avengers. Maybe Transformers VS Aliens VS Predators lol

If not Bay, they should get a director who will be respectful to the style of the films that came before it, so we won't get a jarring difference in look and feel (On Stranger Tides, anyone?).

Since Sam's story is done, what would be cool is a movie that focuses on Nest and the Autobots.

If they reboot it however, give it like at least 5 years before someone presses the reset button.

I would like to see a reboot. But maybe in 5-10 years. I would like to see a "serious" Transformers movie, minus the humour. A TF movie with real emotions, deep characters and a compelling story.

Bay's TF movies were good, but they could have been better.

Ridley Scott, James Cameron and/or Christopher Nolan are the men for that job!

    No reboot. No more sequels.
It was an awesome ride with a great 3rd installment. Let it rest.
One you get more than 3 it starts to get weird. I was never much of a star wars
Fan but even I can tell the new ones didn't live up to the series.
No bay or spielberg working together no care.

I'll tell you whats going to happen: The next director is going to pull the "I'm gonna give the true fans what they want" card, to try to please the ones that b!tch about too many humans in a transformers movie, and reboot the franchise with the more simplistic designs from G1, with a script kinda like the one that Bay refused for the first movie. Mark my words.

Either way, there WILL be another one, because money talks.

No doubt about that! the question is: will it be a prequel or a sequel?

I think it's crystal clear that Michael won't do another Transformers movie. And without him there can't be prequel or sequel with the same characters. Definitely there will be a reboot. The question is when.

If I have to choose lets keep this Bay's universe alive. I'd like to see Bay stay on as a producer while a talented director takes the reigns.

Even though Megatron, and many of the main villains are dead there's still plenty of characters that can be brought in and built up.

My biggest fear has already been mentioned. That we get some reboot with simplistic designs, and time spent off Earth, and on Cybertron.

Yeah, I say reboot as well. Though I'm not sure if I'd want a sequel with these characters, a prequel or something totally different but with Transformers. I don't think we've seen the last of the Autobots & Decepticons on the big screen, I just don't know HOW it would be done. But as long as it's done well I'm in!!

I think No Reboot but carry on as a new Triliogy with either Bay in a new Direction for the Film or a new Director But same characters if Shia dont come back you go for a older Actor as sam in his late 40s something or just start Fresh human Characters or None at ALL.

It opens the idea in a couple of years Tech will get even better than it is now and maybe on some scale Unicron comes and Brings Megs back as Galvatron and maybe the Bots leave Earth To life on the Moon and help build a moon base for the Humans etc etc.

As log as there is something being made, i'll be happy.

I would prefer not to have a full CG movie, just because I like the fantasy of realism. But i'd even be happy with that.

    James Cameron
    J.J.Abrams

And I want Unicron in the reboot!

A reboot is just wrong, after all the work and all the hype everyone's turning around and stabbing Bay, Spielberg, ILM and Digital Domain in the back.

A prequel (or two) and sequels are the only viable options - look at the Alien movie franchise, it started off with Ridley Scott, then James Cameron, then David Fincher and then Jean-Pierre Jeunet and then the franchise spit into the AVP series and now Ridley Scott is back to do the prequel and may be working on the sequel.

A Prequel would be cool on Cybertron,
Or continuing on,bring Megs back as Galvatron, and of course lets not forget one of the biggest foes the Autobots ever fought.....................UNICRON!!!!

Thumbs down Re: Reboot or no reboot? Do NOT! vote before seeing the movie! SPOILERS!!

reboots & remakes are for lame-ass studios & directors who can't think of orginality.

rebooting this would tell Michael he's no good.. he's the BEST DAMN director in a loooong time. NOONE could make them as he has. period end of story.

reboot?..sh** gimme a break. some of you on here are so f''''n critical of him it's stupid
