Not to mention, TF3 will see a jump in BO probably by the end of August when it hits the discount theaters. TF3 is making bank.

Now that Harry Potter is out of the way, and a forth movie is done that is as good as DOTM or the first Transformers, there is little in the way of major summer blockbuster films in the future, not as big as Transformers. Avatar and the Hobbit movies will probably aim towards a winter run, and Nolan's Batman's would have run their course. Transformers might be the formidable force to reckon with in the future! Michael Bay may not be directing, but I think he's still going to have his stamp in there somewhere, either it be a co-producer or his characters and designs will bleed on to the next films.

I totally agree with you but what do you think Warhorse ? TF3 Or HP8 will earn the box office crown in US ? it will be not fair for the 2nd time if TF3 lost the crown from HP like with Avatar back then ....

Unicron is the next logical step for Hasbro to made billions again and continues to please the fans and non-fans but to made it justice not as Galactus :P .... as for the 2nd trilogy eventually all we will hear the official statement sooner or later and i am pretty so excited about this !!! ILM might made a progress so far technically . Unicron is about to rise again

I agree with DK, there's been some talk of a second trilogy but it's still just a concept. I think it would be best if we kept discussing what we've got instead of what we want.

Besides, even if there was going to be another film we wouldn't see it in, at minimum, about 3 years.

Transformers Prime is it's own continuity. The closest things it's got to the movies are some clever throwbacks and a batshit insane Megatron.

So, when TFPrime has Unicron (it's confirmed to happen at some point), I don't think the movies would do the same.

I don't know. Do we want a new trilogy to be a reboot? (Seeing as there's like 7 'bots left alive).

I think Unicron in the current Movie 'verse would be a bit of an asspull considering the Fallen was supposed to be the epitome of all evil but then suddenly GIANT PLANET TRANSFORMER WHO CAN ALSO BRING BACK MEGATRON A-GODDAMN-GAIN. There was also that interview floating around that said it's going to be a long time until more movies.

I don't understand not having a reboot though. If there's going to be another trilogy what else can they pull with it? Does Optimus lose his shit and we get a semi-Shattered Glass movie?

There's too many questions to even start considering another trilogy, let alone Unicron. Besides, DoTM came out like a few weeks ago, you can't already be bored of that?

Pretty soon Transformers 3 will pass 345 millions domestically and 1 billion Plus much much more i believe worldwide ( The numbers are unpredictable from this point on for good of course ) and Transformers trilogy will be 3rd in the history of trilogies both worldwide and domestically ! Transformers beyond our arguments will become a milestone giant among the titans of Hollywood and are not many of course : LOTR , HP , Spider-man & Star-Wars !
So Transformers are made by far tons of money and money help technology don't you think ? And Hasbro is very good at listening to people , fans e.t.c . Unicron will happen and that's for sure

Avatar was nothing comparing to Transformers CGI and TF3 is better on 3D ! So YES Cybertron is essential !!! I agree with you but earth must be included as well

I'd say they were very close to being on par with each other, with maybe Avatar being slightly higher because of the vast environments. Not saying DotM had bad CGI by any stretch of the imagination. To be fair though, the exploding environments and apocalyptic settings are sort of Bay's speciality

I'd love to see baby Optimus and Megatron being stereotypical little brothers and having little arguments goodness it would be adorable.
