These are yesterday's results. They just fixed the weekend score from $5.9 million to $6.1. There is still no data for Monday either from USA or the rest of the world.Woa! now I thought it would make a billion today... guess not

BOM doesn't release actualls for the weekend until Monday afternoon. All news hubs are reporting DOTM will pass $1Billion on Wed or Thursday of this week.
HP7p2 should finish 3rd or 4th alltime worldwide. DOTM should pass Dark Knight and maybe Alice in WOnderland, but I don't think it will get to much further up the list...
I am just damn excited to see a Bay movie reach $1 Billion!!!

I've skipped over most of this thread but I'm just curious what chart is everyone expecting this movie to top? Highest grossing movie of all time or highest grossing sci-fi?

It can't top either just because Avatar is also a sci fi movie. And it's record of $2.8 billion won't be beaten in the next decade. Even Avatar 2 won't be able.
It would be really hard to be in the top 5 but it's not impossible. First I thought it would be easy but now I see that this means that the movie has to make around $80 million more.The second i guess because the first is kind of impossible :P But the TOP 5 is what i want to see from a sci-fi like this and i was happy to hear / read it by a box office executive

do you know if avatars sales figures include its re-release? it was playing in cinemas for a second time, with extra footage and some other stuff, not sure what it was. i only saw it once.It can't top either just because Avatar is also a sci fi movie. When we see the Monday results we'll have a clearer picture. I think that DOTM will loose the domestic duel just by a very small margin.

I'm pretty sure that they included the re release numbers but they didn't have much of an impact on the total number. Avatar's re release was a complete box office failure.
