DOTM has passed all the other TF movies in total WW box-office (and is on the way to 1+ billion).
Given this fact...it makes me wonder how long it will be until Paramount announces a 4th TF movie.
Autobots!
Transform and...make a BILLION DOLLARS!
~~~Everything our Government knew of aliens we were told had been shared. They lied to us. They've made a grave mistake."~~~
Yeah, this made more in less than a month than TF2 made it's entire run WW. Me so happy for this. It means that Paramount won't mind lending a little bit more dough for more Autobot/Decepticon character development time!
And with Captain America, The Avengers and Star Trek, Paramount is going to be having some very good years for some time now.
Hey, off topic, is Paramount producing Michael Bay's Ninja Turtle project?????? Anyone, anyone????
When i Transform i release rockets with nanobot-viruses that destroys you from within... the fuel inside you will turn into acid, metal will melt instantly...
I'm a decepticon and my name is _____ All Hail Megatron!
This is just pure awesome! I was wrong in my prediction!
"My story is of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon."
Sora...its good to hear that at least things are progressing forward after the Earthquake/sunami. No one should have to go through what happened over there.
As far as ideas to boost DOTM's standing...I shall continue to watch it-when I can-at the theatre here. I should be able to see it 3 times this week...
It's soooo impressive!...the total reached to date. I'm glad to see it's the top film of the franchise(world wide totals)!
lets say it is able to pull in 20 million more domestically...that leaves roughly 85 million in the foreign market still needed to hit 1 billion... tough nut to crack, but I think it will happen. This is what will irritate Posofs....Potter will get there first.....
Had to say it..... peace all....
Ironhide kills Barricade!!!
Alright........ It seems that some of you have problems with numbers.
So let me break this down for you all...........
DOTM made 880+ million dollars. The predictions are that it will gross around 150 mil in China which means that the movie has about 90-100 mil to make here.
That leaves us at 980 mil. Domestically it will certainly earn a minimum of 10 mil this week which makes for 990 mil. Overseas it will make 30 -40 mil this week.
So that amounts to more than 1.000 bil. without counting all the remaining weeks in the other countries and the U.S.
DOTM DOESN'T NEED JAPAN in order to join the billion-dollar-movie-club.
Let's say it's able for another 40 until November !
Harry potter had 71% down from Captain America Domestically ! Foreign Potter yes i think that will go higher , but both will top some billion movies ! Domestically Transformers Yes will rule and this is Paramount : Captain's America great plan ! Sacrifice himself For Transformers 3 !
I know my friend i know ! let's talk to the others first that thinks that i am crazy and this we will discover it sooner or later if i am or not . But i think that you must add 16 not 10 this week including weekend
"There is on them more much more than meets the eye!"
Well my friends, I'm happy to report that according to "boxofficemojo.com" these are Transformers dark of the grosses so far (Difference of a bit more then 50 milion dollars from transformers 2)
Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $325,841,185 36.9%+ Foreign: $556,600,000 63.1%= Worldwide: $882,441,185
Oh sorry then i just read the first post...
Japan is not includ in the grosses (which they will be very profitable) and china is included(65 mil $ if i remember correctly)
We'll be at a Billion soon guys. Congrats Bay and Co. for making the best action spectacle ever. Chi-town 4 Life
Not to mention, TF3 will see a jump in BO probably by the end of August when it hits the discount theaters. TF3 is making bank.
Now that Harry Potter is out of the way, and a forth movie is done that is as good as DOTM or the first Transformers, there is little in the way of major summer blockbuster films in the future, not as big as Transformers. Avatar and the Hobbit movies will probably aim towards a winter run, and Nolan's Batman's would have run their course. Transformers might be the formidable force to reckon with in the future! Michael Bay may not be directing, but I think he's still going to have his stamp in there somewhere, either it be a co-producer or his characters and designs will bleed on to the next films.
