I think the movie will get a bigger boost from China later this month. I don't know why but looking at the box office of the first two movies, Michael Bay's Transformers are not very popular in Japan, which is illogical. After all that's their home.

Don't worry guys. ROTF for the same period had $240M domestically. Which is not a huge difference. On the other hand DOTM is better than ROTF internationally by 57%. And I'm sure that the international result posted above is not from all the countries around the world and is maybe without Wednesday.

I don't know, to be honest. Japan is still struggling after that Earthquake. I think they got bigger priorities now than a movie. The way things are going, Japan might have the next Chernobyl. Strange as it is.
