Thread: Love Shia as an Actor

  1. #1

Default Love Shia as an Actor

I read so many of these articles Shia speaks in, and the quotes are so wonderfully untrue. He is an actor that makes his own reality and that's what I love about him. To think for a second I would leave my own set to have someone shoot and finish the scene would never - ever happen. He is special, and a very talented actor. It has been an amazing five years together. I'm kind of sad to leave the franchise.

He's one of my favorite actors! I'm so glad he's in the franchise! I love his dedication to his career. He suits Transformers perfectly! Bay you have done it again!

I made a post earlier, that it will be sad that Transformers is ending. The franchise can not simply be rebooted... Transformers are very meticulous and hard to bring to life, and you did it amazingly, especially with peter cullen.

Hopefully down the road, you take the Pirates of the Carribean route and make a 4/5/6.

Transformers under a new director and actor.. would simply just not work. It isnt a spiderman or batman that's easy to reboot

On another topic, I really really hope you gave bumblebee one more epic line to say (like at the end of TF1)

Mr. Bay, very sad to see you leaving the TF franchise.
You know DOTM is going to make a buttload of cash...thus Paramount will want a 4th.

Perhaps (if you don't direct), you might produce (or executive produce) the 4th in some fashion. I'd really like to see you stay involved so it doesn't get f'd up.

As for Shia, I'm a big fan...and I'm sad to see him leave as well.
I guess he just can't take any more harnesses crushing his junk.

You're sad to leave the franchise? Hah, I'll be sad (well, not sad sad) that there won't be any more big a$$ robots on the screen anymore! You've essentially gotten grown up adults talking about Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in everyday conversation. That's pretty hard to do. I'm obviously looking forward to some other movies coming out, but Transformers is different. To me, Optimus represents the best in human nature, whilst Megatron represents the worst. Classic good vs. evil type thing.

But hey, no one can do the same thing year after year (unless they kinda, you know, enjoy the whole groundhog day type thing). You'd get pretty stale aye. Crikeys, if I am doing the exact same thing in 10 years time, I'd be kicking myself in the behind and saying to myself, why on earth didn't I make a change back then?

With the stuff people read on the web about actors and actresses - load of bollicks most of the time. The stuff is written to get attention. Unfortunately (I dunno why, human nature?) the negative stuff always gets to much more attention than the positive stuff. I don't even have to list examples, it's pretty much easy to find. But if an actor does positive stuff - it's hardly ever in the news. You flick on the news - there is nearly always a war going on somewhere out there.

Everyone on this planet is in the same boat. We all have feelings, we all experience the same things. Just because someone is an actor does not make them untouchable and nothing gives anyone the right to knock them down. Especially from the safety of a computer screen, behind wires, behind the zero's and one's that separate you.

Anyways, great work to yourself and your team on the entire franchise and thanks for the entertainment!

We're deeply saddened, too. But thank you so much for devoting a great deal of time and care to give Transformers life.
Thanks again for giving us beautiful memories. As Optimus said, "for in those memories, we live on."

Mike we're going to miss your transformers films, they were crazy in a good way, and now it's coming to an end. I won't forget the first time I saw the first Transformers film and seeing Optimus for the first time on screen, that was a great moment that made me smile, best of luck in the future.

I really do agree with you Michael I have just watched Constantine and u can see the talent he has at that very young age. I can see big things for Shia on the horizon one of the better young actors out there.

Yeah we are ad you leave, too. You have done a great job. If it wasn't for you I would never have known that Transformers even existed. Became a fan with the first movie in 2007.

I would like to personally thank Michael Bay for getting me interested in Transformers. Thank you for all the explosions, visual effects, funny moments, awesome cars, and beautiful women in this 5 year roller coaster ride of epicness. When all is said and done on Tuesday, I will forever know that Michael Bay is the GOD of movie making. It may sound corny, but it's how I feel.

It is a very sad thing when something so wonderful comes to an end. I'm very grateful to you michael and everyone else who have brought transformers to life, it was and still is to me the most amazing movie experince i will ever have no other movie can ever top it off and for that i'm eternally grateful for your work on these 3 films.
Shia is a wonderful, talented actor who is proffesional in his acting he definitely was the right man for the role of sam, even though i am very excited to see the third film i'm also very sad at the same time as something so amazing is coming to an end i will miss Optimus and the gang for sure.

Keep hiring him for other projects. He can be your Johnny Depp to your Tim Burton. Maybe that is a bad example, but sort of true.

How the heck are you guys not completely exhausted from doing interviews and premires? I would have dropped dead by now! Heck, I would start being so random in the interviews from being so tired.

Mixed emotions will make me cry. Its the end of an amazing ride in my life...
but what a closure! IT'S GONNA BE THE BEST ACTION MOVIE EVER.

thank you Michael Bay, I'm never gonna get tired of saying it, especialy after this one.

And Shia is a star no matter what anybody says. He is a very profesional guy and I don't think any other young actor could play this role. This kind of critics are always wrong. DOTM is proving it! All of them will retract about the franchise in just a few days. Shia has worked with Spielberg, Bay, Oliver Stone. What is going to expect him? He will be the next Harrison Ford. And he will always be remembered for these movies, has learned a lot from you, Michael Bay, so thank you to my real life transformers heroes

I think he's the best actor of his age right now, but perhaps he hasn't quite matured yet when talking with interviewers at random? Thankfully, he's a lot more tactful with it than Megan was, but still, his youth shows through sporadically.

The two best actors I expect great things from are Shia, and Kick Ass star Chloe Moretz. Hope these two get a chance to work opposite of eachother, could make for one great film.

Yeah, Shia was a great casting choice. He is the heart of the franchise, especially under Michael's direction. A great duo. I really expect Michael and Shia to join forces again even if it's not for a TF movie.
Thanks Michael for devoting so much energy and time just for the sake of us the fans.

I'm proud that I live in the time of a such filmmaker. I don't know if it's coincidence but I'm proud that I live in the times of the Michaels - Michael Bay, Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Michael Schumacher and my wife Michaela.
