    So fuck the critics.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it a very poor review and you know what I'm starting to think no matter how hard MB tries and if he's Oscar nominee, they will still hate on him. These bastards are nothing but miserable fuckers. I've never seen so much hate and negativity is disgusting. I'm serious, turn off your freakin brain and enjoy the ride damn! Listen, reviewers gave INCEPTION great reviews and guess what...I FREAKIN hated it!!! I left scratching my head and so did my GF and she & I are into movies that make you think. But yet, we love TF baby!

lol i just read a review that said optimus primes voice is annoying. Half of these reviewers probably walked in the theater telling themselves the movie would be bad.

The score on Rotten Tomatoes is so far based on the ratings from movie critics, that's why it's so low. Meanwhile, on IMDB the score is currently 7.5 and it's based on the ratings from actual moviegoers/regular Joes.

    Go figure.

So yeah... movie critics' opinions ain't worth shit.

I still don't see any of the positive reviews from this site on rotten tomatoes? Lke AICN
Do they pick and choose the reviews they want to add to the tomato score?

They never are. The more a 'critic hates a movie, the more I seem to actually ENJOY it.

Well to be fair, Bay waited until ROTF grossed over $800 million at the box office before he started admitting that it wasn't that great. And how many people here were willing to admit that before he did?

DOTM may well be bad. I'll see it at matinee, but if it's bad then I'll only see it once.

I still remember it as my best theater experience of 2009. Extremely flawed (continuity got lost somewhere between the writers strike, the overlong post-production and the editing room) and full with "roll eyes" moments (drugged mom, humping dogs, robot humping Mikaela, robot testicles...), but also extremely epic.

Roger Ebert has somehow said it is bad because robots are too big to care about them. I really wasn't going to comment his review (because I was already expecting the 1 star rating) but... what the hell? :wtf

I'll later explain why.
But still the magic of the first movie can never be surpassed. At least for me. Maybe that's because I didn't know almost anything about it when I saw it, I don't know...

    Nicely said

What I'm looking forward to the most is ACTION AND EXPLOSIONS!!! HAHA

I loved the first and second I will say I can sit down and watch 1 without getting board, sometimes 2 gets to much to many times but the scale of its is awesome!!

I stopped checking out rotten tomatoes shortly after RotF came out. They are at it again, and again, and again.

WOW you guys are retarded.... Movie critcs reviews take into account story, plotline, and many many other aspects that us Regular Joes don't necessarily take into account. Do don't just write them off, call them dicks, assholes and what not.... they do have valid points to be made. I am not defending their reviews currently, however i am defending them as a whole..... So don't just write them off... and don't assume that this movie is going to be "amazing" and what not.... go into with a clear understanding and and open mind, be prepared for both "amazing" and "bad".

Sorry, but, most professional movie reviewers are closed minded jackasses. Many of whom write preposterous reviews intentionally, just to get website traffic.

Movies are about entertainment, and there are very few professional reviewers that appreciate the visual entertainment aspect of movies.

They may take into account things us 'regular joes' don't, but the flip side to that is they don't take into account what we DO like.

There are movies where I consider the critic's reviews, and there are some where I don't care. This is the instance where I don't care. I loved both TF1 and TF2 and there is nothing any critic could say to keep me from loving this movie.....especially if a lot of people are saying it's the best of the three.

I know I will see this more than once, and I know this will break box office records despite what the critics say.

This is a perfect example of how clueless these reviewers are:

"Bay's use of 3-D is better than in many recent movies needlessly utilizing the technology. But he still indulges in agonizingly loud, bombastic 'bot battles."

Can someone explain how this is a bad thing? lol

The problem is easy, most of film critics (and other medium critics) doesn't understand their job.

It is not about saying if they liked it or not (that's just part of it, but not the important point), is about describing it so we (the audience) can make us a picture of it and decide if it is worth watching.

Reading "is crap" or "the robots are too big" doesn't help a little. Reading "I don't understand how this makes trillions of dollars" or "humor isn't funny" is useless.

So 3/4 of the reviews out there are a plain waste of time.

Want to make a good one? It has to be one where the reader could say "ok, I don't agree, but I understand your point" or "ok, you didn't like it, but according to the way it was described I may like it" (or the opposite).

There are some good reviewers out there, some whose articles makes sense and are well reasoned and are able to see the context of the movie. But unfortunately there aren't the majority.

Also the rating systems are useless, a 3/5 movie can be extremely different than other 3/5 movie. Being one "average, but without flaws" while other "really brilliant, but full of flaws", and the experiences are extremely different.

The one thing that's very clear is the critics are angry at the success of the TF franchise.

They generally panned the first 2 TF movies...which still combined for about $1.5 billion at the box-office (worldwide).

Seems like they're getting increasingly pissy about they're utter irrelevance.

This! Also, critics are supposed to enter a movie with an open mind and review it accordingly. They should also be capable of enjoying any genre of film. If a reviewer hates romantic comedies for example, they will always give bad reviews on them because of their dislike for the genre, not necessarily for how good or bad a movie is.

They also a lot of times don't understand that some movies are just meant to be fun summer popcorn flicks. Not every movie has to have Oscar winning performances or intricate storylines to be a good movie.

Don't worry about over opinionated armchair critics, i just saw the Melbourne Imax 3D premiere and it was awesome!

The story line was really different from what i expected and 3D robot transformations, fight scenes and the Moon footage was pretty cool but the transformations, moon scenes, world take over (downtown Chicago) destruction sequences and that skyscraper getting f*&#$@d up on Imax 3D were awesome!

3.5/5 - might move it up to a 4 or even 4.5 when I see it again in another 16 hours =)
