He knows just how evil they are, and how they can't EVER be bargained with, so the only solution is to fucking kill them all.

That's what I would do if I was leader of the Autobots.
Agreed. Optimus Prime's "behavior" was more than justified concidering all the events that transpired up to the final battle scene. Your right. He had enough, the decepticons never would have stopped. Sentinel Prime not only betrays him and the Autobots, he kills Ironhide in cold blood. IMO, it was his civic duty to go ape shit on Megs and Sentinel. Becides, Megatron killed him once, he'd do it again in a heart beat.

Also, I can safely say the trailers and TV spots (out of three or four I saw from the 20+ spots) didn't spoil a damn thing for me.
Glad you went in completely surprised. I frequent a couple TF forums (Gee, i wonder which?) and some jack ass posted up Sentinel Prime's betrayal from reading the novel without a spoiler tag! One had even put it in a thread title! (it was removed my mods shortly after being posted, but that didn't those that had read it)

So i was expecting it, but just not in the manner it was done. I half expected Sentinel to just go off on his own against Optimus, but i didn't think he was actually going to be working with the Cons. So i guess it wasn't all spoiled.

Personally, i don't know why they allow the Novel adaptions to be released before the movie anyhow. let alone whay someone would want to read it before hand.

Overall the movie was fantasic! But I am left felling there was potential for more. Things like giving Shockwave more lines and interaction with other cons and Autobots alike. One thing i have to say though...
Bay wasn't lieing when he said you were going to have more of a conection with the characters this time around. When they died, you really felt it, and it was emotional. Bravo Mr. Bay.
I have to ask;.. Am I the only one that was disapointed my Optimus Prime's entrance? I mean in both TF1 and ROTF, he had such epic entrances. I was really wondering how they were going to top him paracuting out of an airplane. I was really disapointed when they just simply showed him driving through the city.

I did. BUt i was disapointed that we didn't get a nice clear shot of Sentinal Prime transforming. That was something i was really looking forward to. On a positive note, Megatron's first (and maybe only on screen transformation) was epic. Loved how he pulls the cape of his head after he transforms. had a sort of "Assasin's Creed" thing going there!

There were a lot of em.. The angry Prime transformation, the Ironhide/dreads head on collision, and pretty much all of Bumblebee's were probably my favorites.

I loved the movie, and it's definitely my favorite of Bay's. The highway scene, with Bee's catch and throw transformation, was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I have a question, I saw it in IMAX 3d, and there was a great sense of depth, but is Real 3d better?

2nd viewing-- this time in digital theater but in 2D....

I am raising my review score from 7/10 to 8/10....

better sound in this theater made a huge difference...

as cool as the 3D was.....I think there was only 4 or 5 scenes that pop in 3D now that I have seen it in 2D...

I still think it was about 15 minutes too long....the fat could have been trimmed in some places.

I really enjoyed the Chicago battle a lot more this viewing....noticed a lot more vs 3D

Still think Shockwave was under utilized.

**Was it just me or does Laserbeak's face look like the flying junk dealer that owned Anakin in Phantom Menace???***

The Professor was one of the Spider lookin bots crawling in Megatrons head....

I want to see a hard R cut of this movie.....

shame this movie won't do ROTF numbers....so much better than that...

I just watch it and it is only one word. Amazing!*

No one has mention that the private Michael Bay's jet is in the movie?
Really why? I think it was very cool! * I liked everything! There is a new big deception that I haven't seen mentioned. It's some sort of "sipeder" It had long legs! There is a lot of thing I think just a few realised. *For example BARRICADE was the one who killed Q!

But on top of everything. *You need to watch this movie 3 times at least! Yes 3 times!
It has a lot, a lot, a LOT of work and detail in it! *

The only bad thing for me is that I wanted to go to the bathroom and that the sound wasn't loud enough and that the air conditioner was making an annoying sound. I live in San Luis Potosi Mexico and this all happend in cinepolis. Then when I was arriving to the cinema, 2 military vehicles were in front of me. They were escorting some goverment guy who later I saw standing at entrance. I asked what he was doing. He was checking that tickets wasn't sold to age minors. Then I had a entire family next to me, with a very annoying 10 years old kid!!! He could not stop talking during the entire movie. **
I'll wait until Monday to watch it again! That way there wont be so many people.*
    ALL HAIL MICHAEL BAY

I think the movie should be longer actually. It could've been easily over 3 hours and then a lot of scenes would actually explain how certain things happend.

The length of the movie was perfect.

i agree with eddie, it could have been a bit longer. i saw it twice on release night, got home by 3:15 am and up for work the next day no problem.

hopefully a extended version will appear on blu ray, if thats something that Paramount would consider.

I got home 04:00 in the morning and I had no problems waking up but on the other hand I do my own thing so I have no boss telling me to get in at 8 am in the morning.

The length was good but I am dissapointed that the ending was rushed, cut of some goofy humor and persons that had more screentime than they needed to have and we would've gotten a perfect movie!

That's why I am saying it could've easily been like 3 hours and that would've covered som key plot holes.

Edit: It was so cool so I wanted to see more transformations, more screen time for Dino, Que and the Wreckers. Even Megatron.

Yeah or if they wanna make more money on it, wait a couple of months and release it in theaters again with the extended cut. 30 minutes extra and I would pay again to go see it in 3D.

I saw it in 2D and looked like watching it on a res of 800X600 on a huge screen. I Understand 3D is better but still, or it could be the cinema

How did Megatron and Soundwave arrive in the City?

I loved the highway scene - Sideswipe,Bumblebee,Dino vs The Dreads. Love them run.

Overall, i liked it but meh.

Ive got more to say but im tired!
SHOCKWAVE WAS AWESOME..no im just joking.

I thought the movie was pretty good.

My few gripes about the movie:
    - Why were the humans and autobots able to detect energon signatures so easily, yet Dino and Sideswipe couldn't detect Soundwave in the alley right in front of them?
    - Ending was far too abrupt.
    - 3D is ok, but the glasses seem dark/hazy and it's still sort of 2 dimensional pop up book looking to me.
    - The autobots being captured, WTF?
    - They showed way too much in the trailers/commercials. I felt like there wasn't much I hadn't seen.
    - I know that a lot of people are big Leonard Nimoy fans, but that voice just didn't match the character for me.

    Good
    - The movie was visually stunning.
    - There weren't very many cringe worthy moments like ROTF (aside from the Deep Wang bit)
    - People keep complaining about Sam's parents. I thought they did a great job in all 3 of them. *shrug.
    - Rosie did just fine.

Did anybody else swear out loud when Sentinel shot Ironhide?

    Because I did.

I cried several times throughout the movie. Why? Because I knew this was the last one and it was 1:00 in the morning and I was feeling particularly emotional.

I felt icky though when Optimus shot Sentinel. He was unarmed. I'm not a big fan of shooting someone who can't shoot back.

Well, there are exceptions to that rule.

Okay, okay, maybe I just have a soft spot for Sentinel.

And maybe I wish that he was my father.

    Is that weird?

    -cough-

The Film Stage took a look at just how in the heck the critical and moviegoer divide is so strong in these films, and specifically Dark of the Moon. I thought it was a good analogy. Check it out below.

:lmao You don't give up, do you. Nobody here gives a fuck about the critics review. I'm starting to think that somebody is paying for this. This forum is especially for the fans and have you seen what's the fans opinion:

    Deadline:
"Surprisingly considering the mixed reviews, audiences gave the pic an 'A' CinemaScore. Exit polling showed that 62% Males gave it an 'A-' and 38% Females an 'A', while 55% under age 25 gave it an 'A' and 45% over 25 an 'A-'."

    Comingsoon.net:
    10 out of 10 - 48.9%
    9 out of 10
    - 12.3%
    8 out of 10
    - 11.4%
    7 out of 10 - 7.8%
    from 6400 random people

    rottentomatoes:
    90% fans liked
    4.5 from 5 (60 000 votes)

I'm sure that there are many other sites but I think you get the picture. Michael has made a movie especially for us the fans and most of us love the movie. That's what's important not the opinions of few old men who are payed to write a "movie review" that nobody cares about.

I think the bank truck was just some random Con... not really important to the story apart from being the delivery truck for the items

Yes, I've read the article and the author used every opportunity to quote some bad things for the movie and the audience who liked it. For me there is a huge amount of irony in this article. At least that's how I felt it.
