Well the Ark impact was NASA's baby. Project Iceman and Sector 7 aren't even suppose to exist. Both government agencies don't even share information with each other. That's how secret everything is.

I just realized something. Remember the scene in TF1 where Mojo pisses on Ironhide's foot?

"Ugh, now it's going to rust."

Yeah, suddenly it's not funny anymore.

Default NIBMRatchet's Transformers: Dark of the Moon Review (No Spoilers)

Here’s my review of Transformers: Dark of the Moon by Michael Bay. Listening to the Score of the movie as I’m writing this because, have to tell you… this is pretty epic. Like last time I promise you that the review is Spoiler Free.

I’m just back from the third movie and can’t even describe how happy I am. Michael Bay not only delivered the best Transformers Movie out of the three, he also delivered one of the most action-packed movies ever to be produced by the mankind. Best movie of the year 2011 in my opinion. And now, without further ado… the review.

    Plot
The story of the movie blew both previous movies out of the water. So much in-depth analysis had gone into producing the movie. If it weren’t for the Comic Book Leak… audience wouldn’t have seen it coming. The thing about DOTM is that unlike ROTF the plot is precise and woven together into one 2 and a half hour long movie. It never felt dull and boring. Second half of the movie is the game changer. Everyone at the theater was on the edge of their seats anticipating and cheering the Autobots. It was like watching a good football game… I mean a real damn good football game.

    Characterization
Most of you who read my movie review for ROTF may recall me mentioning that characterization was through the roof. Well, guess what? It has now reached much greater heights with TF3. Believe me… for those who complained “Less Humans, More Robots” got their wish. But that doesn’t mean there are no human interactions. There were plenty of awesome human interactions. But the robots felt so much like what we wanted them to feel like. They had a life of their own. Sometimes I just wonder if Mr. Bay is hiding an actual bunch of robots from a distant planet just for the movie. And speaking of which…

    Graphics and Effects
ILM out-did themselves. My god! If I had any words to describe the realism, I’d be writing till the eternity. Mr. Bay did what he does best, delivering a movie with actual effects rather than blue screen or whatnot. The Birdmen scene was done in real life and was not a fake scene as we see in most movies. The difference? Transformers 3 is a winner in every way in this category.

    Music
Best Score… EVER! Unfortunately I’m not that impressed with the Soundtrack aside from several tracks. Linkin Park’s iridescent is the highlight of the movie soundtrack. Proud to have them in all three movies. As for Steve Jablonsky, I have no true words to say what a genius that man is. Honestly, awesome talent. The Soundtrack is great for Rock Music Lovers, but to others it is a good soundtrack only. Unlike ROTF the soundtrack didn’t play a major role in the movie. Score on the other hand is a brilliant piece of art.

That’s pretty much it I guess. Can’t tell more without spoiling those who haven’t watched the movie.

    Almost forgot…

    Vehicles
If you are a vehicle enthusiast (A “Petrolhead” as the Top Gear people would call it) this is the movie for you. After watching the movie I have a strong urge to go and buy a Ferrari 458 Italia; the best Ferrari ever made by the company of the same name. The vehicles are darn awesome.

There is a lot to say about the movie but many of my thoughts cannot be put into words. I feel so lucky to see this wonderful movie that helped shape the Transformers Franchise to what it is today.

Finally, I thank Mr. Michael Bay and his cast & crew for producing one of the most enjoyable movies ever. Hats –off to everyone who made this movie… A Reality!

Thumbs up Re: The Official DOTM Discussion Thread [SPOILERS]

    My thoughts on Transformers 3…

Well it wasalready a long day for me; I had just got out of Hugh Jackmans Live show at thePrincess of Wales Theatre, in Toronto (Which was a excellent show by the way).So I figured I would see Transformers 3 afterwards, simply because they have anice IMAX 3D theatre there. We don’t have a theatre at all in my hometown ofWallaceburg.

Now keep in mind, that this is the First film I have ever seen in 3D. Until now I have never seenone, and I have yet to see avatar in that format. After seeing the film in 3D, Isupport the 3D format that seems to be all the rage right now.

First off, the 3Din this film is a trip. It really is something I would expect to see in like atheme park lol. The use of it, during a lot of the fight sequences, was verycool (Especially during the explosions, when rubble would come out of thescreen).

The story wasgreat as well. I really liked the Intro, with the clips of Kennedy and the moonlanding. If I had to pick a favourite transformer in this film, It wouldprobably be Sentinel Prime. I wrote a while ago, about how cool It would be tosee a transforming Fire Truck in this film; And I guess someone was listening.Very happy to see that. Caught me off guard however when he turned to the deceptions. It was interesting, and he made a great villain.

All in all, seeingthis film, was easily worth 15$. It really would be no surprise, If I pickedthis one up on Blu-ray once it is released. Excellent job…

    Corey…

I read stuff about the opening scene with Rosie about seeing her body and stuff and some saying its a little to much and what not but lets be honest here people.. when you were a kid and watched Beauty and the Beast as a 5 year old didnt you rewind the tape over and over to see those boobies bounce of those girls in the village who are in love with Gaston at the waterpump? lol

People are so touchy and prudish jezus!..

I also didnt like seeing an old Dutch medieval old sailboat that was docked in NYC for a Dutch-American party seeing forced to return back to Bataviastad docks in the Netherlands JUST BECAUSE there was a naked boob to be seen on the front of the boat of a wooden women.... -_-
When i Transform i release rockets with nanobot-viruses that destroys you from within... the fuel inside you will turn into acid, metal will melt instantly...

He's probably run out of fucks to give about anything. To be honest, I'm surprised his ending monologue wasn't "...and that's why I'm taking over as King of Earth."

I just watched the movie the other day. LOVED IT!
SO much better than 2. I would even say better than 1!
In fact, it makes part 2 useless, except to explain Meg's face in 3.

The 3D was just so vivid! I love the depth! The music!! THERE'S SO MUCH MUSIC NOT ON THE SOUNDTRACK!!! D:

I really hope the bluray has the motherload of special features. Sound design, soundtracks, cg demos of the bots, the life and time of the tree that the drillbot destroyed!!!

This one was certainly darker than the other ones. When Sentinal revealed his true motives, it was horrifying. I was in complete shock for the next 5 minutes. I couldn't even laugh when the scene changed and they threw in some humor. I had calm myself.

The most intense movie I've seen in a long time. The last time I was that thrilled and on edge was when I watched The Dark Knight and the Saw movies.

I must say, this exceeded all expectations. I was laughing, smiling and crying so much, it was too good. At several times in the movie, I just wanted to shout and cheer!

I'm so glad I caught the epic conclusion to Bay's Transformers in its 3D... "prime", shall we say?

I can't wait to get this on bluray!! Might even upgrade me tv and bluray player to 3D just for this movie!!!

Seen it three times, I broke my old record. And it's been held over at our local theater by popular demand. All those critics can suck on Bee's exaust pipe.

Saw it again yesterday with my 8yr old nephew...another great thing i notice is that when the decepticons teleported to earth in DC...some of them landed and transformed into police cars very sweetly...(its right before that big one scanned a garbage truck)

another thing i noticed is that shockwave did use his shield...he is one tough guy tho....he took shots like a man..and was still able to fight after he lost half his body in that punch.......

This has nothing to do with anything but I just listened to Iridescent for the first time (didn't get to stay for the credits in the cinema because of time restraints) and I just realised how sad I am that the movies are over.

I was emotionally invested in all those robots! What sorcery is this?

Just wonder why it is out so late in Japan?? Wasn't June 29th the world premiere? Might be I am just slow and haven't followed things, but sounds strange.

Seen it twice now and the movie is realy good. The cgi in this one is so good I sometimes forget its cgi. There are still scenes where the lighting is a bit off, but very few of them.

I have one complaint though and this goes for all 3 movies. When the robots fight while delivering dialog, the punches and the throwing each other around doesn't have an impact on the voices. There's no "ompf" or "ugh" or strain on the voice.
Yeah, you can argue that they're robots and if you for example punch your mp3 player while its playing it won't have an effect on the music, but the mp3 player doesn't have moving lips, flying spit or breath

Oh well, nothing to do about that now.

saw it for the third time today...and I saw it in 3d...it was awesome...my first 3d experience. Some of the visuals were insane in 3d...my wife said to me that she thinks saw Mr. Bay in one of the scenes when there was debris falling. She said she saw him in a picture of some people. I didn't catch it, but he may have made a cameo via a picture in a frame If someone could confirm this...
