I loved the voice actor, and he's already quite famous, internet speaking. If someone knows about Harbinger and Mass Effect, you know. Keith something, has a quite strange last name, and appeared on The Dark Knight as one of Gordon's detectives, the one that was going to beat up the Joker in the interrogation room.

Lazerbeak was one my favorite villains, he's awesomely creepy!

Maybe they didn't mourn him. Maybe they didn't really like him that much.

Seriously everyone, this Ironhide thing is getting ridiculous. And you know why? Because it doesn't show any imagination on your part. If you require every plot point handed to you on a silver platter, and refuse to view the movie as more than just celluloid, but rather as a story that gives you the opportunity to make something more in your own mind, prepare to be disappointed in movies for the rest of your life.

I don't see why each character, primary or not, has to have "a moment". It is more realistic that they went on fighting, because that's what needed to be done to save the fucking world.

The entire city was fucking destroyed. There will be much time for mourning of all the dead. It didn't need to be shown. It's not as if, as I first suggested, that they didn't mourn him. In my mind, they did.

I recognized the voice actor immediately (GREAT JOB I might add) because he is the partner of Phelps on the Arson Desk in "LA Noire"...I would have had no idea it was that guy if I didn't finish the game beforehand.

I see they went with someone different for Sideswipe...wonder why?

I think Tyrese did a great job with this and I'm replying to this again to draw attention to his performance. He delivered a very powerful line: "Because that asshole killed my friends, too." Did everyone just forget how he and Ironhide used to ride together in the previous movie? They were tight. Eapps was obviously upset.

    saw it the forth time.

loved how Leonard Nimoy voicing Sentinel Prime. The way he deliver his lines are freaking awesome. I really liked how he say at the end:

Actually I think it was Lennox who was close with Ironhide. In the first movie Ironhide drove him home and in the second they rode together in Shanghai.
Still I think that Epps' character is much more memorable than Lennox especially in DOTM.

I've always thought that Hide was closer to Lennox than Epps....

But don't forget, Epps retired to work with the Wreckers, who were also on the shuttle that blew up...

It was even better the second time around, oh and for those who are still peeved about Ironhide not being mourned, right after SP gets away Lennox says "lets hunt this thing!"(or something like that, Damn short term memory!) and before the fight with Shockwave he tells his men "for our fallen brothers." as in Brothers in Arms which Lennox and Ironhide were.

it was great to see Baracade even though he wasn't there for very long. Still, he had a lot more screan time than Sorponock. Loved how starscream was killed. One of the biggest Decepticons and taken out by humans. David vs Goliath.

I was thinking of them as a tight-knit group - the NEST guys and the Autobots. Man, I gotta got back and watch the last two now.

David vs Goliath, that's it exactly. Even Ewoks destroy AT-ST walkers, so do humans.

Well then, if you're tired of hearing about Ironhide dying, put us on ignore. Some of us are still pissed about the whole thing, and it takes away from us enjoying the movie to it's fullest.. It's like killing off one of the Ninja Turtles for me.

I agree here too about Epps having a stronger role. Tyrese's acting was all game in this movie, and I think he was the best actor in the human cast.

Now, Peter Cullen has raised the bar on voice actors. He was brilliant in this movie, and loved every single thing he said. Best Optimus Prime yet!

What I'd like to see is something more than "I'm pissed." I know you are pissed. So what? You don't have anything else to say about it? That's the only part of the movie you want to talk about?

You misunderstand me; I'm TRYING to understand how not "mourning" the death of this character is that destructive to your enjoyment of this film? I don't get it. Is it that they killed him off, or that they didn't mourn him? Or didn't mourn him enough? Ironhide was a badass, but sometimes the badass goes out in a cold, calculated, take no prisoners, don't cry for me argentina, soul crushing manner. You know why? Because they are a badass. To the end.

And it's like killing off one of the Ninja Turtles? You've lost me. I love the Ninja Turtles, and yet killing one of them off would definitely get my attention in a movie. It wouldn't be the same old Ninja Turtle movie, that's for sure.

And finally, I don't ignore people, because that defeats the purpose of a message board. I'm hear to discuss, but all I'm getting is "I'm pissed."

Personally I just felt like he was shafted by not getting a 'farewell' line. It didn't ruin the movie for me. I would have changed it if I could, but w/e, nothing is perfect.

    Here’s my review.

When I was watching Cybertron, at the beginning of the movie, I thought “This is going to be great!”. But… It wasn’t! I saw the trailer and started picturing the movie and it was nothing like I imagined, maybe that was one of the problems. I’m going to tell you, what I didn’t like (most of it has already been mentioned by some of you).

    - Watching the Autobots getting involved in human conflicts. Let humans do their own dirty job. I even got the feeling that Optimus didn’t like to be part of it, when he mentioned it.

    - Optimus killing Megatron too easily and especially when Meg had asked for a truce; this was so not Optimus… I mean, Optimus Prime, the just and wise leader of the Autobots, would NEVER act this way, even if he was pissed off.

    - Optimus saying: “I will kill them all”. Once again out of character… I quote starscream1017 when he says that “Optimus is the real Decepticon” in this movie. That’s the way that they (the writers) made him look like.

    - The Autobots had no help from human weapons, like in the previous movies, which makes it hard to believe that they could possibly have won the battle.

    - Not being able to watch Optimus getting his trailer back.

    - The way they announced Shockwave like the major villain and then making him look ridiculous. Was it that hard to write a dialogue between Shockwave and Megatron? It could even have been in cybertronian

    - Too much humans screen time versus too little robots screen time. Except for Simmons who should have had a lot more screen time.

    - Malkovich playing with Bumblee. :wtf was that????

    - Sam’s mother talking about the size of Sam’s ****. I’d had enough of that in ROTF when she talked about her son loosing his virginity. And on Transformers 1, her lovelly line (please note that I’m being sarcastic) “Are you masturbating?” is what keeps me from giving the movie a 10 out of 10.

    - Rosie did better than I thought, but still doesn’t fit in the trilogy. It’s not that I’m a big fan of Megan Fox or anything, but the Mikaela character was important. She was there from the beginning, she was part of the story, she went to through a lot with Sam and therefore they had a connection that no one else could ever replace (at least not successfully). Also, I think Megan and Shia worked better than Rosie and Shia. I think it’s such a shame that behind the scenes things didn’t go well, because I’m sure that the movie would have been so much better (regarding the humans universe, of course). It’s hard to believe that Carly is “the one” for Sam and therefore the final scene when he hugs her had no major impact on me, as the final scene from ROTF had. Thus, I’ll always see the first movie and ROTF as part of the same thing, and DOTM as something apart.

    - Optimus getting stuck at some wires and having to ask others to help him. Er… doesn’t he have TWO swords??? Besides I think it made Optimus look ridiculous.

    - Starscream, Megatron and Ironhide getting killed… If they wanted to end the franchise, it didn’t have to be this way. Plus, not having a word from the Autobots on Ironhide’s death was just cruel.

    - Que and Sentinel Prime looking like humans. Why was that??? I really don’t get it…

    - The abrupt ending. Did they run out of battery in the cameras or what? A minute was all it take to make a more decent ending.

In conclusion, like someone already said here, great CGI work, but it had no heart. They didn’t manage to create the magic that we had in the first (and even a little in the second) movie. Even the soundtrack, that by the way is transcendent (Jablonsky did it again, thank God), seemed to be out of place… I believe all of this is due to a major editing problem.

    Things I liked:
    - when they showed Cybertron, at the beginning Amazing!!!
    - Wheelie and Brains (who also went to heaven like most of the characters… We almost had a Hamlet version of Transformers)
    - The scene where we see Bumblee transform, throw Sam in the air and transform again. That was really fantastic.

The whole CGI is magnificent. Although, for me, an image is not worth a thousand words. I would rather know a little more about the new characters.

    Quoting JoRom, I say:
Mr. Bay you had me with TF1. You scared me with ROTF. You lost me with DOTM.

TF 1 is still my number one and I think it’s because there was more time to think and to write. A brilliant movie, in my opinion.

Still, I’ll watch DOTM one more time. As I already know what to expect, maybe I’ll be able to “forgive” certain scenes…

I remember that "masturbating" line from TF1 getting tons of laughs in the theater.

Sam's parents and Simmon's assistant got more laughs than Wheelie and Brains at my DOTM showing... People like different things.

I'm also tired of people whining about Prime's aggression... If he did nothing but show mercy all the time, he'd have been dead a long time ago, and not just ROTF dead.

    Too bad he's banned.
