We get it: you didn't like it.

There comes a point where the repetitive posting becomes trollish.

Few thoughts (Major Spoilers, but then again, why are in this thread if you haven't seen the movie):

Loved the plot setup... big fan of conspiracies or "you think it was for this but in reality it was for something else."

Sentinel Prime; great character, TOTALLY had me fooled. To go along with that, Ironhide was a badass, and having him go out as he did was gut-wretching and emotional for me. But it's kinda like Han Solo in Empire; that's how a badass goes out.

Loved Optimus obviously, loved his desperation and his sense of responsibility after trusting Sentinel.

Lazerbeak; what a weasely badass; perfect assassin, and stone cold killer.

Shockwave; pretty cool but seemed strange that he would just pop up from time to time.

Rosie; thought she did a fantastic job, think the accent helped (british people always sound good).

Lennox and Epps; small but critical parts, always been a fan.

Simmons is... Simmons.

Dylan; great bad guy to the end.

Sam; much stronger, and more complex character this time.

Wheelie and Brains; hilarious, as I expected.

Bee; loved Bee in this movie, loved that he had the final say with the "control" pillar. Seemed like a much bigger part to him, perhaps to the detriment of Dino and Que, but I'm okay with that.

Action that stood out to me:

-the freeway chase was spectacular, the Sam in-out-in the car was ridonculous.
-osprey incursion/wing suit drop was absolutely sick.
-and finally, probably just my favorite holy fucking shit moment was when Sam, Carli, Epps and his pals jumped OUT of the building. I was on the edge of my seat. That shot was absolutely heart-pounding.

The music. I spent the last four hours listening to the score; it's fan-fucking-tastic, especially Battle and It's Our Fight.

The cinematography was phenomenal. I knew Amir Mokri would make for some breathtaking shots, and he didn't disappoint. I especially loved the shuttle launch/disaster shots. Beautiful.

3D. I kinda liked it and it made for some awesome shots and experiences, but it was also a little bit... weird. I'm sure I'll see it in 2D eventually and that will be interesting to see how it looks. This is first movie I've seen in 3D so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I guess I'll say that I thought it was pretty cool, a little unusual though. In the big epic shots it was fantastic, but I'm not sure it works for me in the close shots; it's not that it's bad, but I'm just not sure it's necessary. For Bay, though, with the kinds of epic shots he is known for, the depth of detail as he's said "a foreground, mid-ground, and background", it's a great toy. I'm hoping that 2D movies aren't going away though; I'm guess I'm somewhat of a cinematic traditionalist, and I'm not sure I need artificial 3D getting in the way of my epic shots.

I guess that's all I got for the moment, although that's quite a bit. I could probably nitpick a few things here and there, but it really ain't worth it.

Overall I loved how the bad guys were super bad, the good guys came in to save the fucking day, the whole world was in danger, and the action was epic. That's my kind of summer movie.

Just got back from theater! I must say I love the first movie, the second one is good, but to be far not all that great, while this one tops them all! I seriously enjoyed it from the start. The humor was great, action spectacular! I'll admit I was a little pissed when Ironhide died the way he did. Don't know why, I always had this felling he won't make it. The character Dylan was awesome as well. And Rosie was brilliant. And I do mean that!

It's been about 5 days since I saw DOTM, and even though I have already "reviewed" the movie, I still wanna talk about it.

I really wanna see DOTM again (especially after listening to Jablonsky's score non-stop), but I wanna see it in 2D and none of the theatres around me are showing it in 2D. Sure, the 3D was cool, but it's not my cup of tea. It's too straining on my eyes, I get a headache after a while.

So my second viewing will probably be when it comes out on Blu-ray, unfortunately. But after listening to Jablonsky's score, I appreciate the movie more (I know it sounds weird), though there are a couple of moments in DOTM that bothers me (Malkovich's "playtime" with Bee being the biggest one - it's beyond stupid).

One scene I can't get out of my mind is the highway chase, it's just freaking awesome! When the music kicks in, the scene is elevated to a dramatic level, you can really feel the Autobots' struggle to protect Sentinel from the Dreads - it's amazing, and jaw-dropping.

And the entire Chicago battle... I said I was disappointed with it, mainly because I compared it to ROTF's final battle. But it's very well done, it's not as confusing and messy like the first movie and ROTF. It's better structured, and the pacing is damn near perfect. It's just the abrupt ending that sort of kills it, but still the best final battle out of all three movies.

Can't wait for the movie to come out on Blu-ray so I can see it again, it's gonna be a long wait...

the scene where Sam got into the building where carly was and yelled "where is she?!"
When sam fell out, everyone thought Sam was gone. But when
he rose back up on the ship, everyone started clapping. that
was epic. :borat That's the first time i heard people clap in theatre.

That got a huge cheer in my theater as well. Also, "Take the fight to them!"

It was awesome.

i had a great time seeing this in 3d, this is by far the best of the series though i did have some problems like i really feel somethings were cut out due to time or something i hope the blu-ray version has them or something lol.

i think the wreckers could have had more time, and shockwave was so badass that i really wanted to see him fight more...other than a few lil things again i just want to say i loved the overall experience!

Michael bay i have always been a huge fan of your work because of you i am trying hard to get in to the film industry...good luck my friend

Sorry for your confusion. I did like 65-70% of it. The rest (slapstick comedy/ some human dialogue) I could do without. Is everybody here supposed to say it was fabulous 110% of the way? Sorry to upset you over some silly opinion.

Repetitive posting? What do you say to those that have posted here for,... um,... years?

I thought all of the humor was really cool and very funny EXCEPT ken jeong. but this movie succeeded with everything else. All of the human scenes, all of the action scenes, all of the transformer scenes, EVERYTHING was awesome. So, no I disagree. All of the characters were epic characters. i want a fourth! this movie was too good to be the end!

You're right, Ken Jeong was WWAAAAYYY disctracting. Borderline offensive. But apparently people have different kinds of "tastes" right?

Too bad DOTM hasn't done better than ROTF though, in opening weekend. I wish it did better.

"Overall" cool movie I guess.

Yeah, that scene creeped me out. i mean, they were in the bathroom together and he was sitting on top of him! sam should have punched him in the face! :lmao but anyway, the rest of the movie was so good i forgot about that. The rest of the comedy was very funny though, and not annoying at all. The whole movie was very good. 10/10 (minus Ken Jeong) damn, im just becoming repetitive when i say this but I WANT A FOURTH ONE. this movie was too good to end here! I hope Michael changes his mind...

I overheard a couple near me say, " again with the obnoxious sh*t?".:head

I worried a little. I was hoping for no more eye-rolling moments like that!: rol: rol: rol

Luckily it went quick to action scenes.

@ Nelson

If what I'm about to suggest is already a component of prior installments' Blu-Rays, please note my apologies.

However, I just wanted to say that I hope Mr. Bay allows Amir Mokri(sp) to have his own "extra" segment on the DVD for this movie. The cinematography was outstanding. To say the least.

The one part that I felt they could've left out completely was the one with Sam's parents after Ironhide's death. It pretty much took away the emotional impact of that scene.

Completely agree. It was such a powerful and emotional scene that cutting it with Sam's parents goofying around was unnecessary and very distracting. Just weird.
That was my main gripe with the movie, it had brilliant dramatic moments intercut with dopey scenes.

So this sort of narrows it down:

Holy fucking shit!

I'm gonna post my review a little later, when my brain resets. But everything was incredible! The 3D, the plot, characters, bots, battles, noise, effects, Rosie Huntington!!

Just unbelievable!! I have to see it again in IMAX3D!

Spoilers now!
After listening to the score, I had the idea that Sentinel would be the freaking hero that would sacrifice for everyone and fight and all. That SOB!
I should've expected it, but it didn't come to me since he's a Prime. Ironhide's death affected me, just unexpected.
Bay fooled me when he said that Shockwave was the main villain, and although he looked evil and all, I cared more that Sentinel had to die horribly.

I got mind blown by everything! Dino was so cool, and Que dying was very painful to me. It was brutal, epic, enormous, improbable!
CANNOT BE RATED/10

Just got back. I loved the first movie. I liked the second movie while loving the action scenes in it. This 3rd movie, I didn't like it at all. This has got to be the first Michael Bay movie I did not like, nothing redeeming about this one for me. Sorry guys.

The biggest let down for me was Ironhide's death. Although he got a decent quality of lines till then. How come one of the best TF characters gets killed and nobody even said a word. Even Q got the "Farewell old friend" by Bumblebee.

I was so disappointed by a number of things, and the way Ironhide was handled was the number one thing. It was a fucking cheap ass shot at trying to get an emotional response, but if you want that response, you don't go switching gears all of a sudden and go back to the flaky parents and Sam whining about his stupid girl friend.

After the way that was handled (very poorly I might add, at least Jazz had something in the end) I sat back hoping my second favorite character will have some bad ass moves like he had in ROTF, Sideswipe. But nope, you blinked, you'd miss him. Too many fucking humans, way too many. The space race in the beginning was too long, should have used the time to see some interaction with the Autobots like they had in the first Transformers movie. Too much shit around Sam's work that also could have been used for more autobot screen time. Where were the infamous slow motion battle scenes we saw in the first two movies?

You want shock and awe, I still think they could have gotten it by just keeping Mikaela in here and having her killed by Sentinel Prime, maybe either Lennox or Epps too, and maybe Sam's parents. Ironhide was just a fucking waste and makes me never want to see this movie again. Maybe if Sideswipe had a more bigger role, it would have been better, or maybe if Ironhide had at least survived long enough to get a chance to use his massive cannons in the big battle, I wouldn't be so pissed. And, I was totally hoping for the Megatron and Optimus Prime to commence a truce and rebuild Cybertron, but that went out the window, didn't it.

Transformers is long from a dead franchise. There are still several options open.
1-reboot
2-(for me) reason why the Autobots didn't mourn Ironhide is maybe the acid gun just pulverized his metal, but not his spark, and he can still be re-ignited into a new shell. Don't forget, half if not most of his body was used parts to begin with.
3-Optimus Prime wakes up all the way back in the first film and realizes the last two were just a nightmare.

Sorry guys. You know damn well I am not a hater and I am not a troll. I'm just pissed that this movie didn't turn out at all the way I thought it would, and not for the better.

I SAW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...it was very good but

I wish Ironhide would have gone out like a G maybe died saving optimus or something...after ironhide death, there wasn't any mourning from the autobots..Optimus didn't even gave a speech about him........

the highway chase scene was very good......

The driller/dweller..to me..died too quickly..and optimus should have been able to untangle himself from the crane...

the decepticons should have been able to detect the cruise missiles coming in....

sam should have shot dylan.....in the middle of his forehead

I love,,,I LOVE...the fact that we see humans actually gettin vaporized...it was sweet...

Sentinel had a point..but he could atleast transport his planet to mars...lololol...

ncie to throw in barricade's alt mode robot there.....what happened to all those decepticons that scan those fire trucks.........and all the depecticons in India, Africa,,that release those umm,,those ..capsule thingy...(guess we have room for part 4)

BB fought well...
Dino was sweet..nice accent...and great skills..
brains and whellie can't die cause the ship didnt blow up....it fell only from 100 stories high while they splash down in the rocket boosters from mile above water..lol...

IM GONNA SEE IT AGAIN MONDAY................love that fricking movie

Just came back from the cinema.

My thoughts on TF3: Awesomeness itself! It took my breath away Absolutely loved it!

It made me cry, laugh, hold my breath... there were scenes that I didn't blink until I felt my eyes were burning, not to miss anything. The score gave me goosebumps, specially when I heard some similar to "Arrival to Earth" from the first movie.

I don't know why but I didn't like Sentinel from the beginning: he sounded aggresive and arrogant to me. I still can't believe Ironhide's gone... he was and always will be my favorite character right after OP.

My congratulations to Michael Bay, the actors and every single person that worked on this movie. You did an amazing job, and I hope you're getting a well deserved rest. Thanks to you I had one of the greatest times of my life watching TF3, thanks for making of my first movie in 3D something I'll never forget . Also thanks to the admins of the forums for all the heads-ups and for your patience!

The headache because of the 3D is definitely worth it
Don't expect everyone to always agree with you
