So just got back from the Cinema.

And I've got really mixed reactions about it.... I though the film itself was amazing, I didn't expect it to be that dark and emotional but it really was. Especially when the Autobots were due to depart i was thinking s*** this is depressing!

The biggest issue I have with this film is my main man IRONHIDE. I expected him to die..no doubt, but I mean come on!!! I was hoping he'd go out better than that, with more screen time aswell.. considering how little he got in ROTF.

It was a shame the Wreckers didn't get more screen time.

I thought there was too many human scenes, I really expected it to be all out Autobots vs Dcons.

Amazing score.

I will be seeing it another 1-2 times I expect.

another thing.. they made megatron look damn scary, he looked like a badass.. not even rosie was scared of him! the only thing he put fear into was the animals in africa!
he just sitting around chillin in that presidents chair, then back by the dumpster.. while sentinel does all the work. lol this is Megatron!! just hearing his name should strike fear into ppl's hearts!

Unfortunately Megatron sustained BRAIN DAMAGE!!!! Did you happen to notice how weak he was when Sent. Prime grabbed his brain?!?! Megatron was not if full form to be sure.

The only scenes I wish they cut were Malchovich and Bumblebee and the shot of Rosie and the explosions in the background. Would have trimmed some time and cut the fat.

this is the only site i will read the reviews, because michael bay will never gets many favorable reviews because i really think hollywood elite have it in for them. this film was pure TF/michael bay fans movie, and i can't state enough how awesome it was

Just woke up after seeing a midnight show.

God damn, that was friggin awesome.

I did spot the Twins during the hangar bay scene, but never saw them again. Either really awesome editing/digital erasing was involved for the rest of the movie, or they were killed during Sentinel Prime's rampage of Nest. Which I would have dug.

Anyways, a few minor gripes. Shockwave wasn't quite as cool as he should have been, he was like Darth Maul, in which he looked cool, yet had very little screen time. His death was excellent though.

The third scene with the parents (immediately after Ironhide's death) was jarring in tone, and could have either been trimmed to make it more serious, or excised completely. I did like the call back to it, where Sam gives Carly the line that his Dad told him, though.

Malkovich wasn't entirely necessary, but he was funny.

Wanted more of an epilogue, being the last of the Bayverse series and all. Everything in the film had finality, except for the last minute.

Other than that.....OMG THAT WAS SO FREAKING AMAZING THAT IT BLEW MY MIND! The action was awesome, the plot worked so well, the 3D was "Holy S**T!" great! Any problems I had with this flick were small potatoes compared to the billions of great stuff that happened in this movie!

Can't wait to see this again on IMAX! I think the Alien Invasion genre just found it's new champion.

Seen it again today and the government women still bugs me to hell I wanna punch her at times, also what's with the stupid green little blob thing that fellows megatron it's the most pointless bot in the film ( not having the bank truck because he didn't transform ) but the twist in the film was great with sentinel prime, overall agree with most people points in the thread with shockwave, megaton and ironhides death

watched it a 2nd time, this time with the gf.. and i actually enjoyed it more than the 1st time, mainly cause my expectations were alot lower. 1st time i was expecting autobots to die, humans to die, and the hype had built up ALOT! so didnt enjoy it that much yesterday.

today was better, gf liked it as well, except for a few fake parts. she says when sam's hand was hooked to starscream and he was being flung around, his arm should have popped out his socket! lol. she hated the ending as well.. megatron offers a truce & gets his head chopped off. cons went out 2 easy..

i missed out the first 10min of the movie, cause some chinese ppl, had tickets for yesterday and were sitting in our seats! so getting them kicked out took a while. lol
watching it a 3rd time, this time in 2d.. then a 4th time in 3d again..

Am I the only one who felt DOTM didn't have enough heart? The whole movie just felt very coldhearted and emotionless. I will probably see it again before it's out of the theatres....

no your not, we all have to grow up at some point, not to mention that in war emotions get you killed. They are like a poison that spreads to all parts of the body and slows down thinking and get people killed.

It was a cold movie, it was packed. i would have preferred to have a 4 hour movie with an intermission.

I am looking forward to Immortals though gonna be good!

Because they were under attack and then the story line moved off too quickly... typical writers mistake - maybe they ran out of time, money or ideas or maybe they did but it was cut from the movie version?
