DOTM opening early in IMAX 3D!

I just read on the link below that the movie will be opening in IMAX 3D theaters nationwide at 9:00pm on Tuesday, June 28th. Is this true? If it is, that's great! Only thing I'm wondering is would I be able to exchange my ticket from the midnight IMAX 3D showing to the 9:00pm one? On Fandango, the theater I'm going to doesn't list that it is having a 9:00pm, so is this going to be in ALL IMAX theaters or just select theaters?

This time is exclusive to IMAX 3D only....I assume

I called the theater I'm going to and found out that they will allow me to exchange my midnight IMAX ticket for a 9:00 one. Can't wait! Especially since I tend to doze off during midnight showings!

I have tickets for the midnight show. Unfortunately, they added the early shows after I already bought these ... so I'll have to wait an extra 3 hours ... :-p

Yeah I guess its not just 3D and Imax 3D. The link below shows that the regular 2D showing will be at 9pm as well.

The Imax near my house updated its page to include the 8:45 showing. All the seats I thought were full in the 12:01 show we're empty. Just gotta make it til Monday to get my ticket.

I just bought the 12:01, June 29, tickets. It's a 3D theatre and not an Imax 3D theatre. I called them up and asked about the 9:00pm, June 28 showing and they said their computer doesn't show anything for Tuesday. They said to call back tomorrow. You know its bad enough that I have to resubmit my request off at work (because I requested days off about a month ago) for June 30 and July 1 and change to June 28 and 29.:head

Okay so it's only at IMAX Theaters.. Bummer...I won't be able to go see it then till the next day... One thing I love about going to see these movies, is the fanatics come out of hiding, and up here... they hide very well. It's the closest to a 'Botcon' experience I'll ever get... and like most people can't afford IMAX.

Looks like Fandango updated it's site for my theatre and it shows they have a 9:00pm showing for it's 3D[not Imax] theatre. I will call them to confirm this and will probably trade my midnight showing for it.

So far, that seems to be the case. (I haven't read anyhere whether internat'l is following suit yet) I too swapped my midnight showing tix for the (newly updated local) 9pm showtime.

I've just received an email from my IMAX cinema. They informed me that "because of the huge interest for the movie there will be another screening at 9 pm". And that because I was one of the first to reserve tickets I have the chance immediately to switch them for the earlier screening. What an unexpected pleasant surprise.

Well, my tickets are for normal 3D, but only because my theatre is having a 'fiasco' with IMAX (Cars 2 is in for two weeks). Though I'm not sure if it's because my theatre is technically an IMAX theatre that we're getting the 9pm show, even though it won't be an IMAX 3D showing.

Theaters in my area are having 9:00 showings for normal 3D, too, so it should be both.

I didn't change my ticket to the 9:00 IMAX 3D showing at my theater because one of my buddies who has a ticket wouldn't be able to attend that showing, and we didn't want to ditch him. But I'm still super excited for it! I cannot wait!
