Am I missing something? Thought it was an Inception joke. Like the one where Leo "dies" in the ocean at the end of Titanic, but washes up on shore at the beginning of Inception.

I've always liked Bale's Batman, but I have to admit that this is funny..and kinda accurate (in my opinion of course):
"You know why the departures and the arrivals at LAX are on separate levels? So the 30,000 heartbreakers that come here each month don't notice the 30,000 that are leaving with their hearts broken."
Yep, I see now. I'm a bit jumpy I guess after some people ruined DOTM and Prometheus for me with posting spoilers here. I guess I misread the "should" thing.
Now on topic:
Looks like we'll be getting a fourth trailer of The Dark Knight Rises with Spiderman on July 3rd. Still I hope they'll continue with the campaign of not showing much. I'm glad that this is the first movie in years about which I don't know anything about the story before seeing it.
P.S. By the way the Hobbit has a new trailer rated. I wonder if they'll show it with Spiderman or Batman first. Or maybe the Comic-Con.
Hey Bayhem, what about Adam West or Kevin Conroy? what did you think of them?
And will Bane use his steroid like in the comics or animated series or will be he tough and use a special painkiller?
Hardy is going to have to give one hell of a performance to convince me that Bane isn't the dullest villain in the series. The beauty of Ledger's Joker was that he was both funny and scary at the same time. Imagine if Two Face had been the primary antagonist of TDK if you know what I mean.
TDKR had test screening in NY & LA. Even no official reviews (Because of embargo), we could see some critic's responses about film.
They said it's masterpiece. They said it's even better than TDK.
Well I know so much hype could kill enjoyment, but I gotta admit it. I'm so excited.
Next stop: "it's better than "Star Wars", "Godfather", "Gone with the Wind" and "Casablanca". After that - "no, it's the best movie in human history". Then - "hell, it's better than all movies that'll come out in the next 100 years." : rol
Seriously, it's so entertaining when a Batman movie comes out that it's almost too good to be true. I ignore reviews, but in this case I want to see all of them. Just to see for myself the ridiculous fanboyish behavior of some of these "reviewers". Of course, the last thing I'll ever do is to take these people seriously. No one can take them seriously.
Like I already said, I'm 100% sure that I'll love "The Dark Knight Rises"...but the internet madness surrounding that movie is just ridiculous and to a degree, quite hilarious. And people say that the "Twilight"-loving folks are crazy and over-the-top...
"You know why the departures and the arrivals at LAX are on separate levels? So the 30,000 heartbreakers that come here each month don't notice the 30,000 that are leaving with their hearts broken."
You're right. I agree fanboyish reactions (especially about Chris Nolan's films nowadays) are pretty ridiculous & nothing new.
And like you said, even some critic said TDKR is one of the greatest films in history. And I don't buy it.
But what I just wanna tell is, maybe TDKR is more incredible than our anticipations. That's interesting news for movie fans.
The only behavior more predictable is the kind that involves posting about critics that "get it", when "get it" usually means that the critic's views are simply validating/mirroring that particular reader's (positive or negative) opinion of a movie.
Surely that doesn't happen here on this forum though right.....
Cool little BTS video on the IMAX projector system:
Interesting video to see, given the IMAX TDKR screening mishap from last night in LA, in terms of all that goes into making it work.
13 minute BTS Featurette:
*obligatory: click at your own risk/possible spoilers? (nothing is in there that we haven't seen snippets of in trailers or tv spots, certainly no major plot points)
I'll see it of course, and I'm sure it's going to look fantastic on the big screen. But the story doesn't look that interesting. Frankly it looks predictable: Batman is in hiding, Bane shows up and gets him back in, Batman gets his ass kicked by Bane, but pulls himself together for the last big fight. It also doesn't help that Bane looks like a bore of a bad guy.
You tell her we're not her pets, and we're not her toys! We're an advance, genius alien race just looking for a home!
You can use the "predictable story" excuse for about 99% of all superhero movies. Doesn't mean the movies don't end up being good.Originally Posted by dnn

I'm a decepticon and my name is _____ All Hail Megatron!
Beware the blogs. Major spoilers are starting to appear. Particularly about what Bane's endgame is. One idiot reviewer gave it away like it was just something cool to see on the big screen and not a major plot point.
I never thought I'd say this, but I can't close my eyes on this one: the score by Zimmer is a huge, huge disappointment for me. Nothing memorable, nothing exciting, nothing spectacular (maybe with the exception of one track). The score is already on YouTube so you folks can judge for yourselves.
I liked the scores for the last two Batman movies, but in my opinion the new one is a major disappointment.
