out of all the forums, this is my fave. no doubt, but now that TF3 is over it has gotten real quiet. i still check atleast twice a day. this forum needs more members, they really need to open registration and let ppl in..

yeah same, i know ppl who would love to be part of the community, but its locked. someone said it opens on tuesday, but it was still locked. wish they would open it for a day or so a few ppl can join in.

My dog is officially on her last leg of life. She had a stroke last week and hasn't been able to walk since Saturday. She has been eating, but not that much. She still drinks a lot. Since she can't get up, she has to wear a doggy diaper. She hates that thing. I'm afraid that she won't be able to hang on much longer. She's had a great 18 year run, but now I'm going to have to say goodbye. I'm very accepting of that, but who knows how I'll be when it actually happens.

Im glad your mentally preparing yourself for her death, its still gonna be hard even when you mentally prepared yourself for it but truthfully theres just no way to handle things like this make sure she has everyone around her that loved her all those years ok.

Man im really sad now, this makes me think of my two cats (twins that died short after eachother) that really sucked for me the first one had cancer in her lifetime and she started to stop eating and drinking we knew she was preparing herself for death cats always do this they crawl in a corner and wait to die, i gave her some vitamines and she was ok for a few days but she turned blind because of not eating and walked around hitting everything on her path was terrible when she died, we had to put her to sleep.. three days later the other one died in teh morning she was sad her sister died tahst why she died.. very sad.

but my mom always came to this garden garden center and there was this big fat male cat always lying and sleeping in the scale there lol and she took him back home cause they were offering people to take him with them so my mom did so and now we have a very friendly male cat with tons of charcter in him, he's the best cat ever and loves people around him and always wants all teh attention i have no idea how i will feel when he passes away

What are your plans with the dog now? have you planned a date yet?

We had the vet come over to our house to do it in private we had all the time to say goodbye to her, it was nice but at the same time very very sad.

I'm feeling a bit better tonight. I was in the room with her when it happened. She was so far gone that she went immediately after the shot was given. Then I bawled like a 3 year old and begged her to come back. I didn't care that there were people in the lobby, I cried the whole way out. I keep thinking I need to go check on her. Mom and Dad don't want another dog anytime soon, so that means it's another incentive to save more money to get out of the house.

Tay i'm really sorry for your loss i know what it is like to loose a cherished pet i have 2 dogs myself and theres no way i could ever cope if anything happened to them they r like my own children. Like sora said at least you have the fond memories to cherish and no one can ever take that away from you. I hope you feel better soon hon xo.
