Any thoughts? I know Johnny has expressed wanting to do more, and i know they hinted at a 4th at the end of 3. A lot of people expressed not liking the 2 last movies, though personally I think the movies were damn fun solid movies.

I agree with her. Johnny Depp's Sparrow character was a pleasant surprise in the 1st one, but got tiresome as the series, Savvy?
My favorite character was actually Davy Jones (both the cgi and the actor Bill Nighy's performance) and he was treated as a footnote in the 3rd with a lame ass twist ending.
But your question is do I think there will be more? Probably. Two words: Cash Cow.
We may harp about how it sucked here on the boards, but the fact is they still filled the seats. So, it wouldn't surprise me if Brucks puts up another one.

My fav character was Davy Jones aswell. I loved the special effects, and espcially The Kraken. The music was superb aswell, Klaus and Hans did a wonderful job.
I don't think they should make a 4th one, they did leave room for another one open.
The trilogy was enough for me, and it served each character rightful justice.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Treasue Island remake from Disney though.

The last two were a bit of a mess, which was a shame because it was such a great concept. I'd love to see another one about Jack Sparrow and Barbossa. Those two could just torment each other for two hours while chasing after The Fountain of Youth and it'd be great. No need for Will Turner or Elizabeth, in my opinion.

I was talking to Agony. I should have used a quote but i thought I was going to be post number two.
as I recall, they didn't have to be dead, and would think the captain could kick some people off if there wasn't room.

Don't think they should make a part 4. Afcourse they'll earn lots of money with it, but like with part 2 and 3, they got less exciting because you've seen all the good stuff in part 1 already.

Number 1 was great, Number 2 was funny, number 3 was just..... something.
A Number 4? I hope not, and if they do, go back to the first films roots and make it special.

Yes, that is what I ment. But to make it just a special as part 1 is very difficult because people now have 2 others movies to compare with.

Between Savy, Rum, Dirt, and all round over using a joke... I hope not. A lot comes from the writers seeing Johnny's work of the character and writing towards the character. So it wasn't Depp's work it was written so I don't think it came off with the same intent.
I love their stories, but it just seemed like the second was a giant set up and instead of making 1 good movie they made 2 cluster fucks. I'll say it again: I actually walked out of the third.
So as much as I like Cpt. Jack... No Pirates 4. R-type is right about the Cash Cow.
The only thing worse than stupid people are stupid people who bother me...

And she couldn't join the crew because she's not in between life and death.
