Official Trailer Discussion Thread [SPOILERS]

I read what Maddyson crise wrote and it didn't make any sense. First of all, his/her English wasn't the best, so it was a little hard from time to time understand what he/she wrote.
Then it must be fun to read Transformers as a novel. Must be something like this: Optimus Prime, a blue semi-truck with red flames on his hood drove down the street with Bumblebee, a yellow Chevy Camaro. Then they transformed and Optimus front first opened in half, then his cabin turned sideways and bla bla bla...
How the hell are you gonna write and describe the transformation in only words?
And how are you gonna describe Shockwave or the space ships in only words?
Now I know that 99.9% of the people who will read the TF3 - DOTM novel has already seen the first two movies and know how the transformations look like, but it's not exactly gonna be like reading a book by Tom Clancy or John Grisham. You are gonna imagine how different scenes look like in your head, and then when you see the movie it's gonna be totally different. I'm for one don't wanna read the novel before the movie. Actually I don't wanna read the novel period.
I just wanna play the game cause it's a prologue to the movie, like TF 2.5, and it shows what happens before the movie. Then what happens IN the movie I wanna see on the silver screen so to speak.
IF there is a thread going to be allowed and created for the novel, I sure hell won't read a single post thats been posted there before I've seen the movie a couple of times!

yes the novels kinda go into every little detail but maddyson did kinda give some spoilers with out spoiler tags. some really strong spoilers. but the good thing is that annoying thing, it, he, or she is gone :dh

i dont think its as much, that us humans know more than the autobots (unless we downloaded the allspark), but more as we know more than we said we did. that we kept back stuff

Guys, so-called "3D-trailer" has recently showed up on Alberta Film Ratings Site and for some odd occasion it's called "Trailer #3". As I have never noticed before that this site put any additional numbers to 3D versions of the trailers, maybe the 3D cut has much more significant tons of the new footage?

I tried to find the stuff that Maddysen wrote on the web, but all I found was the Rising Storm comic books with pages and stuff. I googled with all kinds of search words like Transformers: Dark of the Moon novel: spoilers, preview, Amazon.com leak, but was not able to find the stuff that Maddysen wrote.
I couldn't find it on tfw2005.com either.
So I guess it's just better for all of us who wants to see the movie instead of reading the book...

Honestly, if a novel is gonna describe transformations over and over again and not figure out a way to move the story along then they are not the right writer for the novel. The point of a novel isn't necessarily going to be to describe every little detail or you'll have pages and pages full of unnecessary description and it'll be boring as hell. Any good writer knows this and will do whats best for the story and not for the transformations.

I'm not reading a Transformers novel to have transformations described to me over and over again. I'm reading a Transformers novel for a good plot and great conflict. I for one am a fan of Peter David, he's writing the TF3 novelization. He has written many novels and comics over the years and I have 100% faith that he knows how to write good novels and good comics, he's aware of the strengths and weaknesses of both. And I'm sure it will be a great rendition to the best of his abilities.

i tried not to read them, i really did. once i read
the first sentence, i sped down the page, but
then, i just couldnt help myself
but still...the movie is not ruined for me....

The 3D trailer is basically the same as the regular trailer with the addition of a few shots to highlight the 3D.
