Default The Thing prequel moves to October instead of next month

Universal's upcoming prequel to John Carpenter's 1982 Sci-fi horror masterpiece has moved to October in time for halloween instead of April, i think it's a good move just to be around the best time for horror movies.

I can't wait, i always adored John Carpenter's masterful remake of the 1951 movie since i was 14 and has been one of my favorites of all time. I hear they are gonna mix old school and new school effects in this one and tells us from the norweigens point of view.

I'm looking forward this too. Carpenter's movie is a masterpiece in horror/alien movies.

Let's just hope that this is as good as Carpenter's original movie.

I'm sure it will be awesome like Carpenter's Sci-fi horror classic, but did you know the 1982 movie was a remake of 1951's movie yet he improved on it but making it more true to the novel that inspired it. The 1982 movie was a box-office flop because it came out in the summer of E.T. as audiences were shocked and repelled by the film as some of the critics trashed the film especially Roger Ebert who gave it one and a half star stating "A great barf bag of a movie that only grosses out people than care for characters" but what did they know? it became an instant cult classic when it became successful on rentals, video, laserdisc, DVD and Cable viewings over the years thus critical reappriasal began even with Mick Martin and Marsha Porter of DVD/Video Guide gave it 4 and half stars over 5.

This prequel might be compelling and scary like the original.
