[SPOILERS] according to Hasbro, Soundwave is indeed the SLS. There are a lot of interesting bios on Hasbro's site including a pet of one of the wreckers called Steeljaw whos enemy is Lazerbeak

Like Optimus says in the trailer, "Everything humans know of our planet we were told had been shared. You lied to us" So we still can't go by the video game, or toy line according to Nelson, yet now we have this reveal of soundwave's alternate mode on Hasbro's website specifically saying the mercedes benz sls amg, along with new bios for both familair and new characters that seem to be added to the line up....

Have I missed something here or maybe I just can't find the picture where we can see Soundwave as the silver Mercedes. This is what I found at the Hasbro site. Nice picture of the toy. Looks just too black for my taste...

Still nobody can be 100% sure that Soundwave will be the silver Benz in the movie. The only picture so far that we have seen of him is from the game, where it's clear that his alternate mode is a silver car, but it's not sure it's a Mercedes. It may be that Hasbro has found out that he's a silver Mercedes in the game and someone who's in charge of the Hasbro website changed the Soundwave info and then changed it back to satellite when they heard that the Benz info is classified. But we all know that the movie, the game and the comic books all run their own thing. Like what's in the game doesn't have to be in the movie.
I'm betting that we won't found out if it's true or not before somebody sees the movie...

I think it's funny that it changed. Is he the SLS? Yes, he will be the SLS in the movie. Someone didn't just decide to type SLS AMG in for his Vehicle Mode description randomly. They messed up and they weren't supposed to do it yet.

The wreckers have a pet badass, leadfoot looks cool looks like hes the smart one in the group, can't wait to see all of them on screen.

I do believe Mr Bay has also confirmed that Merc is not a decepticon, something along the lines of Mercedes would never let him use it as a decepticon. Im sure nelson could find the quote.
