That's contradictory to what the rules say. Most bans are on a temporary time frame. The only cause for lifetime ban is:

I haven't seen any evidence that Shadow went this far. Infraction points and bans are between the user and admins, so we don't know the extent of his ban and it's not our business to know. But from what Shadow's brother is saying, it seems Shadow is being respectful to the admins through this period.

Mercedes would never let us make their car into a bad Decepticon. Car company's really frown on that - I can't say what the game company and comics do that's their own thing. They don't have the same constraints movies do. It's Carly's car.

No kidding. If it was a human bad guy who was a jerk I could understand why they wouldn't want their car company represented by that. But these are giant freaking robots. With a large dose of epicness.

Not to mention, Soundwave is a lot of people's favorite Decepticon.

I'm really surprised. I didn't expect that and I still can't believe that Michael mislead us intentionally. This doesn't make sense. I'm sure that he knows that when they release the toys before the movie we'll see Soundwave's alt mode. I think there is something more than meets the eye with this one.
