Sorry for the late reply but I'm glad you and your family are safe Sora! I've got friends and family in Christchurch, also a week before the Japan quake my best friend and his wife flew there to live and work for a year.

Sending you all lots of love and good vibes!

Thank you. Glad to know that your family and friends in NZ are OK. I truly hope that Christchurch has a speedy recovery from the earthquake. It's been on our mind because both NZ and Japan are island countries on the Pacific ring of fire, and many Japanese students died in CTV building, too.

Plutonium 238, 239, 240 are detected at Fukushima Daiichi plant, Japan. (Sorry for posting trivial matters that aren't of general interest. I guess I gotta stop.)

The problem is that it indicates the possibility of serious damage in the reactor vessels that TEPCO higher-ups had kept saying OK. Also, contaminated water has already been found in seawater outside the facility, it will devastate the fishing and farming industry in the area either directly or by harmful rumors.

Thank you for your interest and concern, R. But I doubt this matters to the rest of the world.

I don't think so Sora. I've been coming here for updates, Anything you post is of real importance to me. When something like this happens it doesn't just effect the area it occurs in. This has a world wide effect whether people want to pay attention to it or not.

@SORA What happened 3 weeks ago in japan was an absolute horrific incident that concerns everyone of us dear. Please don't feel like what u have to say is not of any importance because it is significantly sora. And i'm not just saying that because i see u as a close friend on here but i'm saying it because it's true. I really hope japan does indeed recover from this ghastly misfortune and whilst the ppl of japan recover from this incident we will recover TOGETHER!

Same here, these days I come on this forum for news about the situation there more than for news on DOTM, I take this opportunity to remark how I'm amazed by Japanese people's will to recover and work to rebuild their country regardless of the difficulties, we're with you Sora!

So now France did a check up on all their 58 nuclear reactors! Important because France consumes the most nuclear energy percentage in the world! Even though it's rather far from Japan it's good for extra inspection right?

    Thanks, guys.
The government and experts are going to blanket the reactor buildings with special material and coat its ground with a synthetic resin. So radioactive substances would no longer fly abroad.

No. It's a tentative treatment (as a substitute for building's blown off roofs) to prevent radiation leaks. Engineers will keep workng inside the veil till they get the plant in a "cold shut down" condition.
