    Default TF3 CGI renders...

Can any of the production crew/forum moderators please tell me if and when they will they release full resolution CGI renders of the Autobots and Decepticons? We saw them for the first movie and only a few for the second movie, they make stunningly eyegasmic backgrounds for PC's, laptops and even my smart phone.

The CGI renders for ROTF didn't come out till spring.

    I think y'all can wait.

April!? The majority of CGI modeling has already been done, I'm assuming they'll be reusing most of the CGI models and skins from the previous movies, maybe tweaking some of the older designs and then creating new models for the new robots.

Surely they could release a treat or two for die hard old school fans like updated pics of the current characters (Prime, Bumblebee, Soundwave etc)??

Many directors don't show the public anything about their movie 4-5 months before (I may be wrong) it's release besides a teaser or something related to that. Having Bay release a first glimpse (Announcement trailer) in December was already good enough and then having him give us a 30 second tv spot was even better but to the point: We want to keep the anticipation on its highest so I don't think it's gonna hurt to wait for anything new regarding to TF3 besides maybe a teaser poster. Bay is working hard to keep this movie as low profiled as possible so then when it's time to release this bad boy, we wouldn't know what hit us! CGI renders could wait, and besides wouldn't you rather see the new models in a better quality with detailed textures rather than an earlier draft of one that doesn't seem to be quite finished yet? Either way it would only want you to ask for more. None of us know how close to done all the effects, editing, renders, etc...are so let's just give it some time okay?

I might be getting way into this but too many people are wanting too much at an early time.

Na, you're good. You pretty much summed up my sentiments. It's like, "yeah, can Bay or somebody release the entire plot of the movie for us 5 months before it's released?"

Fantastic point, I was an extra in "Lord of Rings" and many of my friends work for Weta Digital. So I know the pressure you guys and girls are under, keep up the amazing work! Looking forward to seeing the CGI images when they're ready.

LOL sorry guys, that was a noob thing to ask. Damn I just shot myself in the foot by becoming the very thing I loath right now - noob fans asking for and speculating about stupid things. D'oh!

I'm not here to try to make you look bad or stupid, you're not and I know how you feel. I just want the movie to appear completely fresh and new to me when I see it for the first time in theaters! The feeling and excitement is a memory of a lifetime!

.....ok that sounded a bit nerdy....

How long is your cooling off period (if there is one) from the moment all post production is completed to the international premier night?

If you watched ROTF's extras, Michael was working on the color timing in his hotel room the night before the premiere in Korea. And even the version shown there wasn't the final one.

Thanks Regressor but I'd prefer it if a member of the production team answered that, mainly because this movie will be released in 3D...

As an aside, the studio where he was making final adjustments of ROTF at was Ebisu, Japan (just 10 minutes drive from my house).

I think you're expecting too much. Members of the production team don't just post here whenever they want. This is, first and foremost, a place for the fans to talk about the movie.

And there are only two people you can trust - Nelson and Michael. That's it.

my bad, I should have directed that at Nelson and Mr Bay.

Sorry folks, I'm not trying to come off like a pretentious doucebag. I've got a little experience in the TV & Movie industry (NZ and Australia) and there is usually a deadline for post production, in most cases it's not always met. With all the pressure from the movie companies and what the directors/producers push the team to accomplish it may mean that some of the post production gets outsourced to other companies (usually CGI work) but most of the senior members already know that.

I'm really surprised at how well they've kept the entire movie under wraps.
They really did a strong job keeping this quiet with literally no script leaks, character info or art leaks!

The only info we've received is what we've already seen!

I give Bay & Co. kudos. I'd rather not know until the final product.

not to sound like an ass and no disrespect to either Bay or Nelson (both great guys) but even here... they can not be trusted

Oh sorry, I believe the first film premiered in Korea. Otherwise the story is true. Watch the extras.
