Autobots and Decepticons can talk

You know what I don't understand? Michael Bay, why don't you throw more dialog in scenes when Autobots and Decepticons are in their alt-modes? It has been bugging me that you have all these great chracters that turn mute when they are transformed into their Earth modes. They could be bantering back and forth.

I could totally see a scene where the "Wreckers" are chasing down "Dreads" pickin' them off,

"Did you see that shot Leadfoot? He never knew what hit him!!"

"Shut-up Roadbuster, and concentrate on clearing a path to Shockwave. Topspin? Topspin!?! Where in the name of Alpha Trion is Topspin?"

Building wall explodes outwards behind Roadbuster. Topspin flys out in robot mode transforming into alt-mode...

"You called Roadbuster?"


More of that is needed in these movies. I can't stand that the Autobots and Decepticons don't talk in their alt-modes in the previous movies.

You guys are probably thinking, "We don't know who is doing the talking when they are in alt-mode?"

Camera shots of the one talking and using their names when they talk would help.....

Well, im not sure if in the movie universe, autobots and decepticons can talk in the their alt modes. Sure, Starscream did it, but that was always cybertronian and maybe it was more like "Signals".

I'm sure if cars on earth use to talk....they'll talk just to fit in....but the robots won't talk cause there're in disguise

Well it must be something about the confusion about who is talking..in the comics they speak in their alt-modes but it is easier to see who talks there than it will be in the movie. But it could be cool if they did it.

eh that would get really old real fast IMO. because you would need to say a name every two lines. The bots know who eachother are. Eventually you get this:

"Hey Bee"
"what sideswipe?"
"there's a con over there."
"we should check it out sideswipe"

that being said the cons have spoke in both movies in alt. bee spoke in car mode in both two sam the only way he could. I think they should only be able to talk to those inside them to keep the dialogue smooth. even though movie one used everyones name it was just to announce a character and fit in as a war cry. If they did that with rotf the cars should talk in cybertronian. makes it feel less corny

I've always wondered the same thing. I think Bumblebee was the only one to talk in his alt mode, but that was through the radio...so I'm not sure if that counts.

The Twins spoke in their alt mode at the beginning of ROTF while chasing Sideways. They said "I got him" or something like that.

Of course, like has been stated, Starscream and the Deceps talked Cybertronian in their alt modes and Mutebee through his radio. Geez, I hope Bumblebee gets an actual voice this time.

they can talk in there vehicle modes, the twins said it's upgrade time and stuff like that in alt mode. but that cause the scene called for it. there really hasn't been a scene in the movies yet that needed the characters talking in alt mode.

Arcee talked in alt mode at the beginning of ROTF when she's first introduced.

yes the twins and Arcee talked in their alt modes in ROTF. The Twins did talk over the loud speaker but in alt mode while chasing sideways they did say "I got him." And Arcee talked while her hologram popped on.

I kind of like it that they don't talk in the alt modes but it does take away from the dialogues and sometimes there may be times where they need to talk in their alt modes but I'm sure we'll see lots of screen time of the bots/cons in their robot forms and yabbering about stuff.

the G1 series had them talking in alt form.
in some instances they made them completely goofy and animated.
Bumblebee got offered to be hooked up with another car at the end of one episode, in alt form he said "awww shucks" and arched upwards as he blushed then went back to a normal car with normal physics.
it was very cartoony, even for having humans inside the car.
but they talked plenty of times in their alt form.
although, it was a lot easier to pick out the voices in the cartoons than it is in the movie.

in the movie, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Star Scream are about the only ones who have distinguishable voices.

to make it more "realistic", CB-radio would be an efficient way of communicating in alt-form. or just talk through the radio like Bumblebee does.

I still hate that "he's just playing it off" with his voice.
I loved at the end of part 1 that he asked "permission to speak".
BUT it got ruined with part 2 to better fit the intro to the trailers :/

I believe Autobots & Decepticons would sound perfect speaking in their alt modes.

Think KNIGHT RIDER (KIT), I never got tired of that car speaking! Of course it could be overdone given the amount of robots in the film, so if it's done in moderation that makes sense for the scene!?! by all means go for it Mr. Bay!

It would also shut up those whom banter about the movie being one big GM commercial IMO.

It would just add a little more to the story. We all remember the scene in the first TF flick where Jazz sat there like a retard in his alt mode looking at Bumblebee while Sam waved him to move back. That was a point where Jazz could have said something to Sam or Bumblebee. I know Bay way trying to save some cash and avoid spending money to have Jazz transform and help Bumblebee out, but Bay could have put in some sort of dialog on Jazz' part.
I'm not saying a ton of back and forth talking in alt-mode, just enough that it keeps the story flowing....

It will for sure add more excitement to the story IMO. I don't think it would be so difficult to see or hear who are talking...knowing the voices..but of course, with many new chars it might be difficult anyway..I dunno. But it would be great.

The only very tiny thing that annoyed me was in TF1 Bumbleebee has is lower legs blown off by Starscream yet Jazz remains in vehicle mode and does nothing, except i think reverse while Ironhide and Bee use the Furbys as a shield. Ignoring the fact their is a tight budget etc, to me it would of been better if he at least showed some concern to his injured comrade.
