Actually everybody speculated that he will be in the movie. It's been expected. I won't be so quick to make him the fire truck. I still think he has another alt-mode in the present.

Like it was pointed out from the start... the Gold bot is Sentinel Prime. However I still have to say he is (in my opinion) not the fire truck.

the odds are very much alike. I think Sentinel will be more like a mentor, revealing some mystery, not a warrior, and also we saw his robot form, I don't think he has another to transform into the fire truck, it looks too cybertronian. Also that truck looks more like ultra magnus. But when they were filming someone said in a parking lot that the truck was*Sentinel, even before the first trailer. So how knows

He really is the movie action go-to guy. I wouldn't trust anyone else with this particular movie (i.e., the one directly after ROTF) than Bay. I thinks it's unique to get a director to acknowledge such a box-office success as ROTF was as something that really did need improving on in certain areas. I can't think of too many Hollywood personas I would attach a "man" tag to, but Bay is one of them no doubt. That kind of humble attitude with his directorial talent is a unique combination and I have to say I'm really happy about it/looking forward to TF: DOTM.

He pointed out that the Fire Truck was Sentinel. Yes Sentinel is in the movie but there is still no proof that he's the Fire Truck.

i want to believe magnus is the firetruck as it does suit him but its the way michael says he is something makes me think its sentinal. Just because sentinal is gold/yellow doesnt mean he cannot take on another colour or form.
