TF:3 The Music thread - Album/Score/Songs

3 versions of the album? That's new, I'd probably get excited for them but I don't listen too much of rock and that kind of stuff.

I prefer orchestral and epic scores, which there's nothing new about Jablonsky's score. The tracklist is a very awesome teaser, which gives you a glimpse of the film, so to speak. Wonder about the cover, the poster has been used, maybe a new poster?

I'm also waiting for the score. Jablonsky's one of may favourite composers!

Just Picked up the ALbum for DOTM ...really good! Like Para-more -Monster and the Goo Goo Dolls song ... Great Album when riding into work.... really excited for the score....

This album is darker and if you listen to all the song's lyrics its all about despair and moving on from destruction really sets the tone for DOTM.....Can't Wait!

Boo. Why is it listed as unavailable when they have a track listing? :wtf

Lame. It should have worked just like ROTF, where both the Album and the Score were released at the same time.

It's going to be extra lame if they make it digital download only. There's an empty space on my CD rack for it, and I expect to fill it with the official copy of the score, not some burned CD.

I highly doubt it's just digital download, since most movie scores do get release on CD. Word around says it ain't listed since they're gonna change the release date to before the premiere, maybe tomorrow.

Actually, score's are starting to dwindle to lossy digital formats only.
Lucky if they have lossless digital formats these days.

Amazon will do a lot of "Print on Demand" with some scores, printing them to CD-R's.
Hulk, Dexter Season 2/3 scores are POD/CD-R.

The score to Kick-Ass has only gotten a lossy mp3 release so far.
The CD got cancelled and it barely made an Amazon release outside the UK.

Although there is a large fan-base for scores, albums with top-chart artists that are regularly on the radio are likely to sell greater than scores. No matter how dedicated score-elitists are.

I have a bad feeling about this score release...

I hope whatever they do, they make up for it when the movie is released on blu-ray...
