Anyway, I'm listening to Burning in the Skies right now, and I like it. I guess it's just my own particular style or something, but I think it would make a good credits song.

in a way it was a LP song... at least it was a Mike Shinoda song. That song was created when he took leave from LP to help Styles of Beyond get their new CD off the ground. Style of Beyond was a Shinoda project. And that group of guys are good friends of the guys from LP.

The songs in the previous movies were good i think maybe not that super original but they were good enough i though for both movies.

And the 2 videos posted on page 1 "Burning skies" the only GOOD part of that was from 2:40 to 3:10 i think, the rest of the song is all the same to me not that much variation in it sorry... and the other song... "The Catalyst" they should change that techno sound at 1:16 i think, choose a tougher sound it sounds to gay i think... (theres this duo in Belgium who rape that sound with almost every fuckin song they do and his name is Regi from milk inc and i think its freakin gay and i dont wanna fuckin hear it anymore, they should have gone to DJ LAND named THE NETHERLANDS up north ABOVE Belgium and bought some REAL TECHNO BEATS instead of the gay beats that milk inc uses in Belgium, so M.B. please if your gonna get techno into your soundtrack involve mature techno from the technoland the Netherlands please) ...and the beginning sucks, the intro is to long, they should have had a guitar battle or something in it would sound better and more American cause TF is and American product and i love the old Rolling Stones and Earosmith guitar sound you know, its ok with techno in it, but the right technosound has to be in it.

Its a good song,if they make it a bit faster and maybe put other words in it it could be good for TF3 for a sad moment in the movie sure.

I think we should look at Greenday for TF3 soundtrack... they have always made great American music I LOVE EM and they use the traditional guitar its just awesome

I think this was a great song for a dramatic situation in that time, it shows how Bush his administration should have handled it and not doing nothing about the people in New Orleans...

I have A Thousand Suns and while I kinda like it, I don't think it's great. Burning in the Skies is an okay song; I could see how it could fit as an end credits song but I wish it had a little more "oomph". Off that album, The Catalyst would be a better choice, although still not great.

If Linkin Park is keeping this hush hush then im ok with Linkin Park being in the soundtrack, but lets hope they choose the right songs with the right vibe in them for the movie.

If Linkin Park is doing a full music album dedicated to TF3 i give em thumbs up, just like AC/DC did with Iron Man 2.

Lets hope M.B. has a good say in these matters cause i think M.B. has a good taste for rock music apart from his previous films. (correct English? if not sorry :P )

BTW i thought that guy from Linkin Park would be a bit tougher and cooler lol, geuss not, is just a music enthousiast

It seems that Michael Bay just can't quit Linkin Park as the band seems to have been tapped to contribute a song and possible more for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. According to a source that wishes to remain anonymous, Bay chose "Burning In The Skies" from their current album A Thousand Suns for the movie's soundtrack. As a result instead of Burning as their next single it will now be "Iridescent".

While Linkin Park's involvement has not been officially confirmed, it would not be a surprising move considering the band's relationship with the franchise, previously releasing "What I've Done" for Transformers and "New Divide" for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Chords from those singles were also incorporated into the score of the films. Chances are a music video is also in the works that will use Dark of the Moon footage and ideas. Just wanted to share. At first glance the new Linkin Park album was strange but after a couple of hearings I completely fell in love with it. I can go even further and call it their best work ever. The album has great music and sound quality. After that I decided to become their fan on Facebook..... and I was blown away by the number of fans on their page. I was the 21 213 303th fan. I was really really surprised. Just for a comparison other more commercial artists have: Madonna - 4 million, Beyonce - 13 million, Metallica - 13 million. Interesting huh?

ı am not a lp fan but their sound is really cool and they really matched with TF for last two movie.especially for ROTF..
ı listened all lp albums,covers etc... but one thing is certain their last album was not what i expected.yeaa ı know they are changin,their views are changin for music and i understand it.
but this is the last time and top level for feelings for us (TF fans)
frankly speaking,ıf theme song will be picked from their last album,it will be very disappointed.
a new and unique track will be performed by lp (i wish) or another band with closer sound.

just for this movie

I found an interview for Absolute Radio with Mike Shinoda from Linking Park taken on August 27th 2010. In the interview among other things Shinoda is asked: "What if Michael Bay calls you for TF3?" Shinoda answers: "I don't think we're working together (with Michael Bay) on TF3. We got a good run with the first movies but our interests lie elsewhere at this point."
Too bad, I'm a LP fan and I think they matched perfectly with the first two movies. I hope this is not final and they would be back for DOTM.

Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, posted the Burning In The Skies Official “International” Music Video on his website. No clips related to Transformers 3… However, we do get to see a city being attacked by something and the people in the vicinity, injured by the explosion. Is this a hint? Who knows? We'll have to wait till the US Version (as mentioned on his site) is released.
