    Default Fond Memories

I finally got around to buying Jurassic Park on DVD the other day and was surprised to see how many bonus features there are on the single disc edition.

So i was watching the "Making of" section and hearing Spielberg comment on how ILM did their first living creature in CGI for the movie, and how much ground breaking stuff was tried.

It just brought a tear to my eye how similar it seemed to TF. Being my first ever movie seen in a movie theatre it just warms my heart to see how Jurassic Park and Transformers are alike!

What do you guys think of JP?

x2. With some of The 'Berg's Sony and Paramount/DW releases already on, or making it to BD soon, I hope Universal follows suit with Jaws and JP.

I f*cking LOVE the Jurassic Park films. :borat

I literally would spend hours researching and studying them. (Yes, I'm weird.) I can point out all the different mistakes in the film, share useless trivia about all the dinosaurs (), and little details here and there. Other than Transformers and Star Wars, I know the JP films the best.

I, too, have a soft spot for Jurassic Park. Until I saw it, the only moving dinosaurs I'd seen were cel-animated (and maybe some stop-motion), so I was more than impressed by it. After seeing it in the cinema, I couldn't wait for it to come out on VHS.

It still looks good after all these years. The CGI is still among the best I've ever seen; it holds up really well alongside more recent movies. The use of puppets and robots also ensured a realistic 'look'.

The sounds for the dinosaurs were memorable, too. The Tyrannosaurus rex roar... a truly epic sound effect.

I don't remember much of the JP movies. I watched them when I was little and I remember that I was really scared. I should view them again.
