DOTM Toys Thread [Spoilers]

Just picked up a Human Aliance Basic Sandstorm. It's an okay toy, but I really just picked it up for the Human Figure, which should fit in my Human Aliance Bumblebee (got for $10 at a flea market, no figure. Wasn't dishing out $30 just to get a Sam figure). Have'nt seen any other figures yet.

Not to mention too expensive. Almost $30 for a figure that, when transformed, is a couple of inches taller than a 2009 voyager class bumblebee. The downsizeing must be due to production costs.

i did not see Topspin in my area (dayton) just a crap load of bumblebee and like 2 or 3 of everybody else. so Shockwave is in wave 2? what about the Big Heli?

Topspin is in Wave 2. But i've seen 2 or 3 people online that got him from Target or Toys 'R Us this week. And yes Shockwave is also in Wave 2.

Not hearing much good on the new line. A lot of complaints that the quality has suffered. Nevertheless, my son has his eye on a few of his favorites. May need to stock up now for Christmas.

Well, turns out Target didn't have Shockwave like their site said. But the guy reassured me that they should have a new shipment next week. And hopefully they will have Topspin. Does anyone know the official date of Wave 2 release dates, or does each wave of toys come out each week?

its probably due to concerns for smaller children.:head looks better with long fingers and besides it has huge pinchers above its head with pointy ends

DOTM Toys R us Midnight Launch Hong Kong style:

Well, today I went to get one of the last two ROTF toys I'm interested: The Fallen and Payload. The Fallen disappeared from all the stores (I asked) even though just a month ago there were a lot of them, and as I'm a little short on money (I was making an exception with him) I preferred to wait just a few weeks to get enough money to buy Payload without straining myself...

The good thing is that I saw which DOTM toys have arrived at my city so far: Bumblebee, Crankcase, Roadbuster, Ratchet, Starscream, Skids and Leader Sentinel Prime in one store, and voyager Megatron, Optimus and Ironhide in another; so I'm already planning in which order I will buy them as soon as I can.

As a note... I was warming up a little towards Optimus Prime, but after seeing the toy in person it really doesn't convince me... it looks too toyish so to speak, and I'm not talking about the transformation and cheats it involves but the figure itself, specially compared to Battle Blades Optimus Prime which I have, and DOTM Megatron which is a very impressive mold. Also, I understand now why people were saying that Voyager Ironhide looks strange, it isn't bad but yes, it's a little disproportionate and doesn't look as solid as previous figures.

I've just bought mine DOTM toys. tehy look pretty awesome! I've got Bumblebee, Skids and Barricade.

As for the gotta catch em all comment, it's true. The store where i bought them there was a line saying: must have them all!

I just got Shockwave! If anyone in the Sherman, TX area is looking for him, I found him at Walmart on Hwy 82.
