I don't know Albershide, I don't think Cliffjumper will make an appearance on DOTM.

I heard that Cliff was suppose to be on the first movie but got removed just for the sake of not needing a Bumblebee repaint. Only Nelson can confirm that matter (or Bay).

I know many people do not consider IDW movie comics to be canon, but by looking at them so extensively, I know for a fact that they are indeed canon. The stories fit so well and they explain things happened in the movies brilliantly. After reading a tie-in book, when I watch a movie I see the plot very differently and knowing exactly why, what, when, where, who about each and every scene on both movies.

What I’m trying to say is… they (comics) killed off Cliffjumper (in Reign of Starscream). It happened for a reason. I heard that IDW took permission to kill him off. They (not sure who, must be a Hasbro + Paramount combination) gave IDW the “Go” to kill Cliffjumper because he will not be appearing on screen again (wasn’t there in the first place, got cut). His role of the movie went to Transformers: Prime instead (But he quickly died there too).

Transformers (2007) test shots showed Cliff as Bumblebee repaint (Chevy Camaro mode). Even the IDW comic (Transformers Destiny: Defiance) showed him as a Bumblebee repaint (Cybertronian mode). Subsequent toys showed him that way too. Cliffjumper was always an excuse of Hasbro to make a red version of whatever the Bumblebee version of that show/game/comic/movie. The only time it changed, on my knowledge is Transformers: Prime.

That’s my take on Cliffjumper of the Bay Movie Continuity.
Sorry bro but im going to have to say you are wrong in a few ways. Yes the IDW comics try and stay close to the movies and give up all the back history or stuff we may not see in the movies but as for characters that die in the comics not having a chance to show up in the movies... there is always a chance as Bay does not follow what the guys over at IDW are doing... in fact it's more or less the other way. What I mean is we do have one, maybe two characters that could be in the movie that were already killed off in the ROSS comics. Crankcase who is a Dread in the movie was killed in ROSS when Starscream strapped him to the new Cube that he was trying to build. Also Starscream killed Air Raid along with Cliffjumper and Smokescreen in ROSS yet we may still see Air Raid in DOTM with Silverbolt and maybe other flyers.

Well well well! Nice alt mode though it looks kinda different from the hover craft from Detroit (I guess they will add some CG).
I don't know about the robot form. I expected more but I think the movieverse will be better. One thing is sure though - many models will envy his waist.

These were my first thoughts too. But when you look closer they're very different. The jet thing from Detroit is a flying hover craft. Shockwave's toy on the other hand has tank tracks and no turbines. He has guns in the place of the hover craft's turbines. And the color scheme is different. Also the jet thing is helping Sam and Carly and is silverish so there is a big possibility that it's Silverbolt or just a random Hover Drone.

Shockwave looks amazing. If his toy looks this good his CG model must be a thing of beauty.

I'm not gunna count it out. so much could be cgi. the round thing on the drone appears to be under the toys gun. and the prop ended where the treads began so... we'll have to wait and c

WOW big Mechtech weapon for Barricade. Love how fans get so bent out of shape about a gimmick that doesn't affect the figure.

On the plus side from the panel lines looks like Barricade is getting a new mold. Which is great I really liked the 07 one, but it's getting long in the tooth now.

I'm really starting to like this Mechtech stuff. I hope there will be something similar in the movie.

I've stated this previously on this same thread. The Mechtech weapons seems to be part of a build-your-own-Transformer. I mean look at them... we got hands, legs, torso... so on and so on. I'm actually seeing that.

Has anyone thought that Shockwave could be a triple changer? What if we are seeing 2 different modes here?
