The Sentinel Prime possibility. Spoilers.

So with Alpha Trion being ruled out (not 100%), the most popular two possibilities for the the Bot from the DOTM teaser to be is Vector Prime or Sentinel Prime. Here I'll discuss only the SP possibility. There are some strong facts about it.

1. (In Transformers 2007) Did you know that in an early draft of Transformers, time stops as Sam falls down the building Megatron smashed, and Sentinel Prime appears to him via the All Spark. Sentinel would've clarified the history of the war and the relationship between Optimus and Megatron (when the writers intended them to be siblings), and gave him a clue to defeating Megatron with the Cube.

2. (In ROTF) Sentinel Prime led an expedition where it took him fourteen galactic convergences to get an echo of something. Whether or not he is one of the original Primes or in the later Dynasty of Primes is uncertain. He does however seem to be one of the direct ancestors of Optimus Prime. Sentinel Prime was mentioned in a rambling lecture of Sam's while under an All spark fragment-induced trance.

3. (In DOTM filming) According to a guy on set the Fire Truck is Sentinel Prime and he is Optimus Prime's father (matches the theory from ROTF that he is a direct ancestor of Optimus). I don't believe that Sentinel is the truck but I do believe that some guys really heard the name Sentinel and that he'll be in the movie.
Also the striking similarity between the Bot from the teaser and Peter Cullen might also point that he is a relative of Optimus.

So a final conclusion: Sentinel was in the draft plot for TF1. Sentinel was mentioned in TF2. Now I really can see him appear in TF3.

Now that i come to think of it first I supported the Alpha Trion idea then the Vector Prime idea. I guess I have to be more continuous. :lmao But I stand firmly behind this one.

Didn’t shadow provide a bit of evidence in showing the robot in the trailer had a prime symbol on his shoulder which matched one Optimus has on his. It’s in the trailer post around about the 9 – 10 page, He showed the picture to state they have the same symbol as all primes it was a good spot by him.

Yes he did. But there are many Primes. I'm just narrowing the possibilities to 1.

Yes it is a Prime for sure. Many people think it's Vector Prime but my bet is on Sentinel. There are too many facts pointing that way. And still you can never be too sure.
By the way in some continuities Alpha Trion is a Prime.

True you can never can tell for sure unless you are associated directly with the film. I know Alpha Trion in some incarnations and he was also a direct descendent of Vector Sigma in the cartoons, I personally believe it sentinel prime as the names already been spoken of in the movie already.

Yes that's why I also think that the Fire Truck is not Sentinel (if we assume that the guy in the teaser is SP). Obviously the Bot from the teaser will fly (maybe a Cybertronian plane).

I believe that Sentinel Prime is The Fire Truck BUT Alphatrion is another character [ Inside the ark ] and from the dawn of time has forget how to transform like G1 !
Also i prefer to be Alpha more than Vector Prime AND yes !!! Alpha Trion might be a Prime as well because was a powerful mystery person , the holder of the key to Vector Sigma , The real father Of Optimus Prime and one of the first 13 Transformers Of Primus AKA : CYBERTRON

You should think about Michael Bay's movies like a whole new continuity. It's a whole new universe with some tributes to the old franchises (not only G1). For example Sentinel Prime was Optimus' ancestor in G1 but he was also "a jerk" Autobot in Transformers Animated. So in Bayverse he could be a whole different incarnation. You have to think outside the box. Not everything is G1.

Yep, this confirms that he's a Prime but the clues I posted were regarding only Sentinel Prime.

Here is a slight clue...he has the same bat-like antennas on his helm so there is a good chance that he is related to Optimus in some way.

I think Bay is going to go back to TF1 and use the part of Sentinel Prime that did not make it into the final script with Sentinel coming to Sam in a vision while he fell of the building... It would be a good wau to tie Sentinel Prime into the first movie as well. Also... everything I am finding on Sentinel Prime for this movie is now pointing to him and Optimus bing siblings like in the TF1 unused stuff. I believe Sentinel may be an older sibling to OP not his father.
