Nelson,
I really like the look of the new site. You definitely come up with some really nice minimal designs, and they all are different while still maintaining a connection to the previous designs.
Keep it up!

Thanks Ed.
You won't believe how f-ing hard it's to make something minimal and good looking.
That and the emails asking me why this site is not all Flash-based with sound and video.

Don't expect everyone to always agree with you

I know how it feels. Just designing a site AT ALL is a PITA. It takes so much damn time too.
Web site design is a lot like computer programing. You have to know how to code everything.. It's not like just throwing together a bunch of shapes & pictures in photoshop and poof, you have a design. I hate it. It's too much like algebra to me. Just a bunch of coded nonsense I can't really grasp what it going on if I can't actually see the result real time.
I barely passed algebra. With tutoring. But on the flipside I aced Geometry with little effort. So I'm very much more of a visual person. I really have to see what I'm doing, if that makes sense. Web site design, Game design, software programming... I just could never do it. I'd get more headaches struggling through that stuff then I would by beating my head against repeatedly brick wall.
God no, stay away from that flash crap as much as possible.

Are the thumbnails showing up below the banner in Internet Explorer and/or Firefox?

I can't see them on FF on the Mac.

IE8/Vista - showing up (overlayed images are properly showing up by clicking thumbnails, too)
FireFox 3.5.13/Vista - not showing up

Is anyone having these problems described on this thread?
http://www.shootfortheedit.com/forum...hread.php?8210
If you are, do you get an error message in your browser activity log?
Is that only happening on the front page or on the blog and the rest of the site?
Ok, how about now?

@Nelson:
Sir,
I found the problem of IE.
When the site loads IE asks for...
IE Question.jpg
If we choose "Yes" we get the weird text. But if we choose "No" everything is fine.
Usually people use "Yes" because it's the secure way to connect. Therefore the error.
I found out what the problem was. It was a HTTP issue. I've removed the HTTPS feature which I used when we sold stuff on the site.
The web site was trying to pull in code from Google for the jQuery scripts (non-HTTPS) and support for embedded fonts which are not secure. The reason why it looked broken up was that various scripts were being blocked from running because they were not HTTPS.
I've moved the site to a different IP so it's going to be down a while the new IP propagates.
IE has been PITA when it comes to browser compatibility, 8 was distinctly horrible. IE9 seems like more frill-free as it could almost be called a Chrome clone.
As for the IE8 screenshot I posted, the banner on the top was showing up properly (I just scrolled down to bottom).
am using firefox no problems so far.. flash base takes alot of bandwith sound would be cool

The footer is suppose to look like this:
![]()
Other pages on current MB.com look like this image you posted here (black footer background is horizontally reaching both ends). Strangely, only the DOTM photo page in media section comes out like the image I previously posted (footer background ended in the middle). IE is also known for not working well on auto-width margin CSS.
Pull-down menus are working fine in either page.
BTW, Nelson, I like the most recent changes to the main site. Kinda a 180 degree change from the black; I like the contrast.
Also, I liked that you removed the "Enter Michael Bay.com" link from the index page. I found it redundant considering it went the same place as the news button and clicking on the picture.

The pics and footer looks just fine for me.Can't really stand the Helvetica font anymore (or its clone, can't thell them apart right now) but it's ok.
Would be super cool if one would see the footer all the time, like a constantly moving bar thing.
I really like the blue coloured headings.
