Yeah. This weekend I watched all of the episodes of Transformers: Prime that are out. I'm really enjoying it. Several important points-

1. VOICES.

So they've got Peter Cullen doing Optimus Prime, which is great. For those of you who don't know, Cullen did O.P. in the original Transformers cartoon and the new movies and I believe some other series as well. He's also my favorite Cullen... the only one that doesn't sparkle.

Steven Blum is voicing Starscream. Spectacular take on the character's voice, one I've not heard before. Usually we get Starscream with a high or bright voice and this time we get growly.

However, I'm not the biggest fan of Frank Welker's voice for Megatron. He was G1 Megatron's voice but I don't find him fitting in this series. I would like to have had Hugo Weaving do his voice (he was the wonderful Mr. Smith in the Matrix series) as he has done it in the Michael Bay films.

2. CHARACTERS

I really loved Ratchet in Transformers: Animated and they've used the same character concept for him in Transformers: Prime. He's a grouchy medic who's seen too much war. He's a perfectionist and a control freak but he's trying to do the right thing. He's quite abrasive but that's what makes him great.

Starscream is amazing in this series. He's overly polite to Megatron and acts as a loyal servant even though every chance he gets he tries to kill him (discretely of course, wouldn't want to upset the troops). He's the smart one of the Megatron/Starscream duo. He's small and not the strongest guy around but he's a dangerous schemer. When Megatron shows up after three years gone he completely destroys all of Starscream's hard work and gathered Energon. As soon a Megatron returned he made sure Starscream knew who was in charge and irately told him to stop giving orders. He's got so much more personality than some of his incarnations, specifically G1 and the Bay films.

Jack, Miko, and Raf are the three human characters of the series. Nicely diverse characters and well paired with Autobots that fit a great with their personalities.
This is the first time I've ever liked Arcee. I'm not usually a fan of the feminine Autobots but she is a great character. She's got connection issues, but sees the other Autobots as family. She can be quick to get angry or upset and has strong bitterness towards the Decepticons for the death of Cliffjumper.
Characters I'm not a fan of: Optimus Prime and Megatron. O.P. always does the right thing and Megatron always does the wrong thing. It's a little repetitive. Luckily the other characters add personailty.

3. PLOT

It's hard to see the plot so far. There was a five episode miniseries to start things out which was good. I don't know where the plot is headed as there's only been six episodes. I need to take a look at the backstory, Exodus. Megatron and O.P. once fought on the same side so that's a take I haven't seen before. It's been done before but not in a series I've watched.

4. QUOTES

So many great quotes.
"You're a motorcycle, Arcee, shouldn't you know how to build a motorcycle engine?"
"You're a human, Jack, can you build me a small intestine?"
Can't recall anymore right now, but there are some great ones.

5. ANIMATION

I do like this style. I loved Animated and this was completely different but still looked good. I don't like their mouths though. Kinda weird.

Okay seriously, you think Raf would have been expelled for his volcano science project that Ratchet put together for him, considering it....SHOT A TOWERING INFERNO THROUGH THE SCHOOL'S ROOF?!!!!!!

Saw convoy early this afternoon and it was the greatest! I am still in love with OP! And it made me mad because starscream always has to bud in the boys business. The humans against the Autobots was exciting and a great twist when (serious spoiler) Silas scans Optimus.

Meh. I personally have never been a fan of human villains, but I know it does add variety.

Maybe I'm biased because I just want more Starscream. I love Steven Blum's voice for him.

My dad gets the Hub at his house so I was watching an episode there. He was in the living room on his laptop but he kept looking up and giving me weird looks. Yes, your seventeen year old daughter is watching cartoons on your TV. But hey, at least I'm at home and not off doing drugs or getting pregnant.

"Deus Ex Machina" episode had some pretty funny and noticeable stuff. For example; Knockout's licence plate I noticed right away. It says JOFY 892, I laughed when I that. And then I saw Breakdown's plate that read DGOT 441. rofl :lmao
