What do you think DotM's run time will be?

with all the exciting action to come and from the looks of it, a lot of story and plot... what do you guys think the run time on the movie may be. With the re-issue of Avatar now being a 3 hour movie, is it safe to say we could very well get a 3 hour TFs movie?

Well, maybe not up to three hours. Maybe as long as the original cut of Avatar, which was like...two hours and 40 minutes?

Yeah, two hours and 40 minutes. that's 160 minutes. Perfect in my opinion.

Well i would love to have a 3 hour tf movie the longer the better 4 me. I'm sure that will be the case as there are a lot of story plot lines and action in this movie.

I would love if the movie is even 4 hours, but that's just me. Most of the TF fans will be happy with a 3 hour movie but Paramount won't risk to bore the other part of the audience. And by the way from a commercial point of view if the movie is 2:30h there is a bigger possibility to watch it a few times in theaters than if it is more than 3h. So I believe the movie will have approximately the same running time as TF1 and TF2.

It doesn't matter whether it's a 2-hour or a 3-hour movie. If the movie is good, you will never get enough of it . You just want to watch it over and over again

Theaters and Movie studios don't like movies longer then 2hr 45min length because it limits the amount of showings per day. They do make exceptions (I believe DOTM qualifies).

The more I think about the movie the more I suspect we will see a very in depth prequel to the start of the movie. Similar to the start of ROTF but with more detail. I suspect the popularity of the A-bots will already be down and human anger will be high towards the TFs. This is my opinion but the congress scene with the CNN reporter announcing the expulsion of the autobots will be at the very start of the movie. If not, this movie will run into the 3 hr mark.

calm down bro... i too would love a collectors set with all the movies and for them all to have extra time(scenes added) like they did with LOTR. Also just because this set of 3 movies is coming to an end does not mean the TFs movies will stop coming. Also, a 3-4 hour movie has to have more dialog and interesting plot twists then action, because action can keep you entertained for like 150 minutes when interrupted sometimes by the plot, but thats the maximum. I dont want to see 3 hours non stop action.

3 hours of action... no, but if the movie was going to be 3 hours I think that would be plenty of time to have many great action scenes as well as enough story and plot to flesh out the movie. Also I was for a while thinking of how cool it would have been if they would have made this last movie a 2 part movie like a lot of movies are now doing. Think of it (if) it was in 2 parts we could really get a great story as well as a lot of kick ass robots. Those that did not pre-say get a lot of screen time in the first part could get more in the second part as well as it would give them more time in the second part to bring in more bot characters. Like Ironhide would say. "Im just saying, it's an option."

I Agree ... 3 Hours this time will be extremely good if has more dialog between robots especially and introductions , interesting plot twists then action and vice versa e.t.c
If will be good as TF1 then it's a very worth a try
