Devastator is 9 bots not 7.

Sorry for posting this here (Nelson Sora) I tried to put this in the ROTF threads section but was not able to. You can move it if you want.

So I just got off the phone with a (friend) and was discussing the combined form of Devastator in ROTF and I got on the fact that was brought up by many people that Devastator’s legs would not be proportionate because his right leg is a Green type Dump Truck and the left leg is a smaller Yellow Rampage type Bulldozer. He told me that yes the right leg is one bot but to look closely at the left leg. So I did and to my surprise, the left leg as it is all yellow, has two sets of treads. So I though how could the yellow Bulldozer have two sets of treads? So I looked back farther into the combination and again to my surprise… as Devs is combining, if you look next to the yellow Truss Crane, the yellow Volvo EC700C crawler excavator with a Stanley UP 45SV universal processor attachment that we first see in the scene on the ship before the Constucticons go down to revive Megs is right next to the yellow Truss Crane. So looking at it closer, the yellow Bulldozer and the yellow Volvo excavator form Devastator’s left leg as you an see the second set of treads on the upper thigh of the leg. Now with that said, Dev’s right arm is the yellow front end loader and his left arm is also two bots. The left arm is the yellow Truss Crane and the left hand is also a small yellow Bulldozer. If you go frame by frame you can clearly see the small yellow bulldozer transform and scurry around before the Truss Crane slams down to connect to it. So Devastator is not 7 bots but 9!!

I have a correction. I was able to look a bit closer and the left hand is a smaller dozer and is not the same as the D9 Dozer left foot. The left hand has the same markings as the red Rampage Dozer M930

Single black and silver Mack Vision concrete mixer. Fighting troops, gets killed by Jetfire.

Two single yellow Caterpillar 992G scoop loaders. One is seen in Egypt fighting and dies in bombing run. The other is killed for parts for Megs.

So there are at least 15 Constucticons in the movie that we see.

The huge devistator toy is 6, with the long red vehicle not used. While the tiny devs toy is 7.

In G1 devs was 6,

I like the idea that in the movie verse devs is created by construction drones or at least mostly drones or though we know that mixmaster and rampage were named cons. Its almost always been the case before the civil war that their were different types of drones created for different perposes on cybertron. Over time some gained independents and personality a soul if you like. In G1 the bots and cons already had the earth robot modes and character before arriving on earth. However many bots and cons were of identical body, starscream, skywarp, thundercrack, ironhide and ratchet.

So while some people might say well bonecrusher was killed yet in ROTF he is alive its fare to say it was another con who had a similar role and build to bonecrusher. This might explain why the constructicons were seen fighting in the ruins as well as tearing up the pyramid.

As for 9 cons making devs in ROTF i cant see where they all went clearly, another viewing is needed

Not true... the yellow Long Haul that everyone thinks forms the leg with the yellow Dozer is not a yellow Long Haul. It is a different dump truck an it too is green. Once the dump truck and Dozer pull up on the ridge, the dump tuck is green and the dozer is yellow. The green dump truck on the ridge transforms into Devs right leg and the dump truck that transforms next to Simmons and Leo is the single Long Haul that you see fighting the soldiers and is later killed in the bombing run.

If you look at Devs left leg, you can see the second set of treads I was talking about on the upper thigh. These treads belong to the Volvo excavator that was seen on the ship before Megs was revived and that same Volvo excavator is also in the desert next to the larger crawler crain. These is only one dump truck that combines to form Devs and it makes the right leg by itself.

Actually, it was another dump truck, not an excavator. Guess that concept you're showing is isn't the final one.

I know the wiki says that its a dump truck that forms the leg wih the yellow duzer but anyone can add to the wiki and that dump truck you show in that pic is the same one that im talking about that is green and forms the right leg. The other larger green one that transforms next to Simmons is he stand alone one. Also in the movie... if you pause it and or go frame by frame you can see the second set of treads that belong to the volvo excavator on Devs just after he merges. The Volvo excavator is also with them when they merge.

Also if you look at that wiki page someone put that its the volvo excavator (Scrapmetal) who is the one that is killed for Megs parts. Not true... yes the Volvo is on the deck of the ship but we all see that its the Scrapper-like front end loader who is killed for the parts. I think in that scene there were suppose to be 5 constructicons on the deck, they just couldnt fit them all so in one part you see the volvo and then its replaced by the front end loader. And the volvo didnt get killed for parts because it is later in the desert next to the crawler crane so wiki isnt right.
