    Default More info on the fire truck.

    I was just talking to a (friend) of mine and asked him if we would see more of the fire truck besides just it being in Chicago and he informed me that not only will we see the fire truck quite a bit in Chicago but it was in a lot of scenes in Indiana as well. It was filmed along with the blue CGI truck and others and will be seen in many other shots beside Chicago.

    Good info. Wonder why no videos have the firetruck in Indiana.

    Except the videos from Chicago (on the streets and in a tunnel with Prime and the Mad Max truck) we've seen the fire truck in Indiana too (on the highway). There they are.

    And we also know that Indiana is standing in for Ukraine as well, right?

    Its funny how many other locations are standing in for Chicago on top of all the real Chicago scenes. Chicago itself, Indiana and Detroit. So a lot is going to happen in Chicago in this movie.

    Chicago is probably where Dylan's company is and maybe Chicago is now where Sam lives or something. Carly also works for Dylan ans so that would cause her to have to be in Chicago a lot. So I can see Chicago being a main part in the movie just on these factors alone. Now Im sure there will be other major factors as well.

    Bayliner & Shadow

    Beyond being the financial epicenter of the Midwest, I "think" Chicago was also one of the locations of a missing Seeker (from the map Wheelie projected on Simmons's wall in part 2).

    I'm still curious as to what the "316" on th etruck is to symbolize. I sit a Bible verse (John 3:16), a police code (street disturbance), an area code (in Kansas, like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz)... what? Granted, it could just be random... but that would be a bit boring, right?

    Oh trust me I have tried every computation to figure out if 316 stands for anything and I haven't found a match.

    It could just be the call numbers of the truck...it's easier to say "16" over the radio communications than "big red fire truck"

    Exactly, it's kind of like looking for meaning behind the license plate number.

    I think you are right about the other Seeker's location. One was in Texas as well... maybe Houston?

    @Hotwire & Boudie
    I'd normally agree with you, but I don't understand why they'd even have a number displayed so prominently, if there wasn't any reason. I could actually see Faceh be right about this, though.

    @Shadow
    I think you're right about Houston, as well (no surprise there, though). If the 3rd film went further into the story of the Seekers, I think it would be even more interesting to those not already interested in Transformers (and it would also help to explain the need for flashbacks or time travel).

    Because fire engines have numbers. This is how they are identified.
    Notice how this truck has a number on the side?

    @Bayliner

    The location was a bit south of Chicago, but not in the middle of the state (see http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-..._1869.jpg.html). This would still open the door for the Chicago action to be linked to a Seeker, as a distance akin to a 1 or 2 hour drive wouldn't really affect that.

    @Hotwire
    Fire engines have numbers but, by your rationale, the fire truck should also have a specific department or force--- such as "Port of Portland"--- written on its body, yet this is not the case. Granted, the numbers used could simply be tied to something Bay likes, but we can't assume that their presence is perfunctory. Beyond that, they're written in a very thick white font on a contrasting red background--- almost drawing your attention (unlike the other Transformers that have previously had numbers).

    OK, whatever, dude. Keep insisting that they mean something. While we're at it, I'm certain the giant "E4" on the side of Ratchet means something, too. There are also numbers on the side of the armored truck, those are probably some secret reference to something as well.

    This reminds me of all the debates on SuperHeroHype over what people could and couldn't see in Spider-Man's eye! :sigh:

    Ummm... did you miss the part where I wrote "it could just be random?" Or even the part where I mentioned the other numbers where not prominently featured (as is the case with the fire truck). Sheesh. Don't blame me for the fact that your argument contradicted itself...

    ok guys lets get offthe numbers on the fire truck. Knowing Bay... 316 will probably mean something or it,s an Easter Egg. Only time will tell. One thing for sure is if you go and put the numbers 316 on something such as this fire truck, someone is going to ask if it has a meaning. Ifit has a meaning im sure it will somehow come up in a commentary down the line.

    or it could be the bible verse 3:16:

    "For in this way God loved the world: that he gave the unique son, so that all the ones trusting in him would not perish, but have eternal life."

    just putting it out there
