in new mexico the laws states anyone in the "act of impersonating a cop is a misdemeanor and the second is a felony."and new mexico state statutes law indicates "any car marked to look like a 'NEW MEXICO STATE POLICE' vehicle would be charged with a misdemeanor.my car does not meet these laws guidelines...by the way...i checked with the D.A.'s office here in new mexico before doing this.indicating to the head prosecutor my intentions.so imitating art wins over malicious intent.

Good to hear man!! I saw the report on the web. You've clearly got the word Transformers displayed on the windshield and doors. You don't even have a light bar or altered headlamps/rear lamps. Plus, I don't know about NM, but here in TX I'm always seeing refurbished/auctioned police cruisers (caprices, crown vics, etc.) rolling around with the same paint scheme (color body/white door). They even still have the push-bars and A-pillar spotlights on them.

To Agony: I think DOT laws vary from state2state in terms of enforcement IIRC, in any case, the presence of altered lights/light bar would probably have been a no-no. As I think you are only allowed to have only a certain # of red & amber in rear, and amber in front. (excluding back-ups and headlamps)

Umm, know I'm just butting in here and all but I'm not from the States and not familiar with your car or the report... do you mind posting the link to the report or a pic of your car please? I am under the assumption your avatar is your car...?

Go to myspace page barricade505 and see updated pics as well as the news clip....I intend on continuing the transformation to include eventually...lambo door hinges,push guard,and eventually a saleen kit.I know this is maybe too much, but even though the car is a six-er mustang,my son loves it and we intend to keep it this way.....FOREVER>>>EVER>>>>>EVER We plan on buying a 77 camaro from up the street for $800 running...(this is the part where i laugh like woody woodpecker and leave..thanks for the comments though..

You never know....your credit may be good enough for that bumblebee drop off from school.That is when they are for sell to the general public.Camaro that is..in 2009.That would be just as awesome!!!! Matter of fact, i'm gonna start by fixin' my credit!!! Then i can have my wife chase me around town in the mustang...thanks for the great comments too!

Hello fellow board members. Just stopping in here to "introduce" myself. I always hate introductions because most of the time they come out sounding extremely.....lame. Oh, well.

I guess I should put a little about myself here.....I've watched many films directed by Michael Bay and overall I enjoy what I see. He's always been in a sense a dark horse of directors..IMO. Bad Boys will be an all time favorite film of mine that Michael has worked on. And of course, I am a Transformers fan. I was really impressed overall in the final turn out of the film. I used to watch the cartoon when I was little, it was one of those few shows I'd always make time to see. Of course now I laugh at myself and think...yikes, 20 something years later this cartoon is still apart of my life somehow...

All those feelings of nostalgia coming back I guess lol.

....yeah I've spent enough time running my mouth in this intro section. See you guys.

I'm basically a HUGE Michael Bay fan... The BEST filmmaker in the World alongside James Cameron. Transformers is great movie, but Armageddon is still my favorite.
Some memorable moments from Bay's films: the shower scene in The Rock, the Independence crashing in Armageddon, and Rafe and Danny shooting down Zeros in Pearl Harbor...
So I guess this is the place for Michael Bay fans...
