Really disappointed with the reaction of people in relation to adding more humour to the movie. I think some people really have over reacted, transformers is hardly a serious movie in the first place and it ain’t going to win no Oscars for best film or anything like that. I think MB know this and is trying to bring a little light humour to balance the films set pieces. This may be in some peoples eyes a good thing because in some instances not everyone who will be watching the movie will be a transformers fan ( shock horror ) they may be watching the series for the first time so they might be relieved for the light relief in the film. I think the reaction of the people states most transformers fans are been selfish and thinking the film is for there enjoyment only so how dare MB ( the swine ) put comedy in that will ruining the film. Before anyone comes back at me with the fans watch the film buy the dvds etc I agree they do but its not all about making the movies for the hardcore fans its also about introducing then to different people as well.

alot of people are assuming people dont want the film to have comedy PERIOD! like some other people mentioned on this topic, comedy is fine. its how you do it that matters. i loved the first films comedy. it was great! but ROTF went to the point of overusage of potty humor, and humor in general. i myself wouldnt have found it annoying no matter how perverted, but it was the fact that it never let up and went on non stop thru the hole film. so TF3 can have it, by all means, just i hope its eased up on.

All those parents send to the theater by their kids, it has to be a little light for the parents guys, older people cant swallow SF-stuff that well (they think their wasting their precious time, me to if its to much SF), they NEED TO put some comedy in there, sorry but im ok with this.

I havent seen Avatar because of all the advertising that was gettin jammed down my throat before i even seen the movie, and because its ALL sgi and sf-stuff. (got Avatar Blu-ray still wrapped in plastic lol)

Thats only because we care alot about the movie, and when i hear something like that, im proud that i get easily out of shape. The transformers movies, exspecially TF1, are some of THE most important things to me, i want a good ending to the trilogy. I dont care if the movie will have fucking giant robots or if it was fucking good at the box office or if the fucking critics say its bad. I dont even care if the jokes are funny. I want this to be a GREAT movie, not just like "yeah, its cool, has cool action, lolz". No, i want it to be GREAT, I DONT WANT TO SKIP HALF OF THE MOVIE LIKE IN ROTF.
I dont want this to be a movie thats "good enough to buy" or "it cant be that bad because the audience laughed kind of movie". I want this to be GREAT. A milestone in its own right, like TF1 was. 10 minutes of shitty comedy and another 50 minutes of shitty story like in ROTF is completely out of question. It shouldnt be that way. It CANT that way.

I will add this, Crainy, Pos, Your huge over reaction to this issue gives the impression that this is the largest thing going in your life. if your life is either so carefree or so pitiful that the biggest issue you have is how many jokes Bay is going to put in a movie, the I either envy you (if you are so carefree) or pity you (if its the pitiful one. . .and I suspect it is). Most of us, much as we love Tfs and Bay, have MUCH bigger issues going on. . . things like work, or school, or family, etc. I suggest you both get some of the same and gain some well needed perspective.

Yes w have already seen Mini-cons in the forms of Frenzy, Ravage, Alice the Pretender and any of the other random mini bots we have seen in the first 2 movies. Even Scorponok could fall in the Mini-con list. Now I know you see Mini-cons as those from the cartoons that merged with larger bots to amp up the larger bots or change into weapons for them...sure. I believe we will see something of this extent in the movie. In the words of Sam Witwicky... "They're everywhere!" lol

As others said - TF07 humor was ok.

TF: ROTF = only 1/2 funny, and glad my then 7 y/o didn't get any of the jokes other than the Robo-Balls. WHoever's face in the other's lap = funny just cuz someone landed on another, not for the location of the faceplant. If ROTF were to come out now, much less in another year, my son would NOT be seeing it.

TF: DOTM = better have less genital/potty humor & less F* bombs - otherwise my son will be disappointed & won't be seeing it until it comes out on video. Likewise, since he won't have seen the movie, he won't want as many of the toys, thus Hasbro & Bay lose out on additional monies.

Most parents of <12 y/o I've spoken to were also surprised at the language & humor. Even allowing for PG-13, that - I thought - had been present due to the *violence* & that there was quite a few damns & shits... a la TF07. ROTF was quite a shock, to parents & adults.

SO I hope less. And what LdB considers "more", I wouldn't put a lot of stock in. Time will tell. If they up the amount of comedy, it will cheapen the movie even more. And as I said above, if it's too much &/or more penile/gutter humor, a good chunk of the audience will stay home & wait for the DVD where they can edit it, or warn "you don't repeat the bad words you're gonna hear".

That doesn't make any sense.
So parents complained about sexual jokes and violence too,uh? What did you people expect? For you anime series from the '80s then were so evil and cruel, like Ufo Robot Grendizer, Mobile Suit Gundam.. and so on, uh?

Transformers3 only chance is to have a lot of human casualties, main characters getting killed (otherwise the whole trilogy won't make sense due to sudden rewriting when the main actress got fired and replaced) and it must be absolutely violent and cruel.
The Dark Knight was violent, full of bad language and still parents went there with their kids not complaining but telling that it was the best movie ever and so on..well that happened mainly thanks to the WarnerBros marketing machine using the dead actor to market the movie and it worked perfectly indeed.

What is crazy about all this is that parents complain about jokes on Transformers telling that that's bad taste and their poor things, their kids, shouldn't be watching those BUT then movies like Shrek and cartoons like Simpons those same parent don't complain at all despite those being full of bad language, bad taste jokes and so on.
The real issue is with nowadays parents that aren't adults enough to give their kids any real rules.
