If its true that would be the first time Megs takes an Earth mode...I highly doubt it...due to Megs hatred towards mankind...but who knows?

The reason Meatron has different forms in all the movies is because thats the way Hasbro wants it lol. New form, new toys to sell and that makes them... NEW MONEY!!! LMAO!! But really... in the movie verse, there isnt really a set design for a transformer. Just because a TF takes on the form of a car or tank for that matter, does not mean thats the only thing they can be. Even in their Cybertronian forms... what we see is not their true form. Its a taken form, even under their Cybertronian outside look is their Protoform. And in this movie verse... there is nothing stopping a TF from rescanning mutiple times. The only catch is whatever they scan has to be close to their starting size. Thats why I dont think we will ever see true triple changers in Earth modes. If BB wanted to scan the camaro, then change into a Nascar or even a small pickup truck, would that make him a triple changer? No. He just rescaned is all.

That as well. Its just not going to happen. Like I said above, the closest we will get to seeing a triple changer is to see a TF rescan mutiple times but never like you said Trail. You're just not going to see a TF transform from Tank to bot and then transform back into a car or something. And in Earth mode, you're not going to see the mixed Earth parts of two different modes on a bot either.

To add on to this, I wanna say too that if you look at the robots themselves, they're all essentially made of car parts. So if you want a triple changer, like robot-car-helicopter, the car parts would also have to be helicopter parts too....and this can't happen of course.

So yeah, triple changers, save it for the Cybertronian forms. They can cheat like that.

Mixmaster was a pseudo triple changer. Going Robot-Truck-Gun Plaform. He had a dedicated armored gun emplacement style form in RotF.

I really cant see Megs taking this form. I think if it were silver or black then maybe but camo?...nah. I kinda hope its Wreck-Gar. But if it is Megs and somehow hes forced to take a form (maybe by shockwave) that before he scans it he says something like "ugh this sh** will work"

There was a time...i think it was in the comics... that Megs took a backseat to Shockwave because Shockwave over powered Megs and forced Megs into more of a soldier's role. If the Tanker is Megs, then maybe thats whats happend here.

For Megatron to become Galvatron a higher power must transform him. Megatron became Galvatron by the hand of Unicron. I really doubt we will see Unicron in this movie.

I know it has to do with time travel and not too many people want to see that. Im not to sure id like it either but if they somehow brought Megs from movie 1 back and had Megs from ROTF get killed to later be brought back as Galvatron, id go for that. Not very many people like ROTF Meg's look.

You dont need Unicron to have a plausable reason for galvatron in TF3:

ex 1: Megatron has Multiple personality dissorder brought upon the influence of the Fallen,

ex 2: The fallen, before dying, transfered his spark to the body of Megatron and the merging personalities give birth to Galvatron ...

ex 3: or you could have a sceen where megatron's spark is painfully transplanted into a new body by shockwave after he got his ass handed to him by Prime. After the transplant, megs gets up in his new body, looks down at his old head, crushes it under his foot. Surprised;Shockwave goes: Megatron, wha...? And Megs replies: "I AM GALVATRON!"
