The strange thing is that although we saw the Mack truck at Chicago and DC we actually haven't seen any action scenes with it. The only thing I remember was a scene shot in a tunnel in Chicago. Actually in the tunnel there were all the trucks from TF3 (Prime, fire truck and Mack truck).

So if this really is Megatron I guess he has very little screen time (like the fire truck - only one sequence so far).

It’s true Galvatron did go insane in the comics and cartoons, whether it is galvatron or megs only time will tell. I think with screen time for the truck it clearly means the truck who ever it is will spend a lot of screen time in robot mode. That’s the reason I don’t think it’s been used that much. Overall I’m ok with it been megs but really wanted it to be motormaster but que sera sera.

Not that I have any objections to Megatron being the Mad Max Truck (certainly would make the battle between him and Optimus more interesting), but in the previous movies, Megatron always had a flying aspect. First he was a cybertronian jet, then a jet-propelled tank, now a truck?
Not just a truck, but a truck that looks like it was built by a human red-neck. If Megatron hates humans so much and is so vain, why adopt a earth-mode now when his previous modes looked anything but earth-like?

What it’s a Megatron body that’s been created like the wreckers and some how the real Megatron’s mind has been placed inside the body to keep him alive because his other body has been destroyed earlier in the movie ? I don’t know or is it a part of megatron that helps him become more power full like prime/jet in rotf . 2 good guesses by me lol

Assuming this truck is Galvatron we would need a higher power to transform him. This would mean an appearance from some higher being like Unicron or Primacron. I'm suspecting some form of time warp and with the amount of 60's scenes being filmed I think its more then some prequel flashback at the start of the movie.

Maybe the Quintessons make an appearance ?

Again... going back to the so called leaked fake script that was released a long while back, In it there were two Megatrons. ROTF Megatron that died when the Decepticons time traveled back in time... at this time Starscream tried to kill past Megs who was still on ice in the Dam. Whats not to say something like this isnt in the movie. In that script, Past Megs after waking did scan and take the form of a Tank and was not seen again much until the end of the script. What if and only if this is Megs... that its movie 1 Megs come back some how and he takes the form of the truck? Movie 1 Megs used a spiked mace type hand weapon right? Maybe the spikes on the truck are a hint at something like that. Just my two cents. May not be Megs but if it is... I say lets get movie 1 Megs back in the mix.

personally I just can't see that truck being Megatron and everyone who has seen that truck and knows tfs keep saying Octane, but I will just wait and see.

galvatron was an entirely different character. If they change Megs personnality enough, i would think it deserved the name change as well

However how credible is the statement that Dempsey's character is a super billionaire and created the wreckers. I still believe the wreckers are true Autobots. We know that Dylan and Sam battle in Chicago thus probably a decepticon ally. In all the scenes the wreckers roll with the Autobots. The wreckers are current stock cars not some retired cars that belong in someones collection. Could these cars have been created with the help of a humans ? possible. The glyths prove they are of cybertronian origin. When they were finally confirmed as wreckers this summer they were regarded as Autobot Wreckers. I assume they will have a bot form which will be all CGI. If Dylan's character is ultimately evil why create the wreckers which help the Autobots.

I absolutely agree with you. We know for sure that Dylan is a bad guy and the Wreckers are good guys (they were driving along with the Autobots in the final battle shot in Chicago). So there is no much sense that the Wreckers are Dylan's creation.
One other thing that bothers me is that the Wreckers didn't participate at the DC filming (though someone said that they were loaded on one of the trucks). Maybe they arrive on earth later in the movie (after the Autobts are exiled). Or maybe they are a secret weapon that is hidden inside Prime's trailer?
There is another possibility. Let's not forget that Carly is Dylan's employee. So if we say that the Wreckers are Dylan's creation, what if Carly steals the disigns and give them to the Autobots.

I think he can keep his name. From a logical standpoint there's no reason for him to change his name to Galvatron. It would confuse the audience, and in a big action-packed explosive movie, I doubt there would be any time for them to explain why he would suddenly change his name to Galvatron. It's only purpose would be fan service for the die hard TF fans. Everyone else would be like :wtf
